We actually tried to buy the forum at one point but the original owner was asking more than we were willing to pay at the time. In some ways though I think it is cool to have TQ.net as an independent community. I think we could get into awkward situations if we had to moderate the forum.

I agree with you - independence is a good thing!

@Roland: Or we could create our own forums. This would be fun and cool. We do not deserve what they are giving.

Inspired by this event, I made myself and Matseb signatures. Look at them!

Can we stand a chance?

Have Gods left us?
Should we let these forums fade away?

This is from Lifepincher, a user who has yet to be able to sign in due to the email problems:

I've emailed the admin twice and sent seperate emails to both mike@ientry.com and webmaster@titanquest.com

If you can snag a mod and relay this message to him, I'd be greatful.

Thanks

This REALLY reflects poorly on us. I'm sending a copy to both LANLocked and Anti-M as well.

Soooo... does ANYONE who is active here have access to vBulletin's AdminCP? If so, do you have access to the Users sub-section?

This would simply require going into the AdminCP, pull up the user, and manually place that user in the Registered Users usergroup.

OK - I have LifePincher added to the Registered Users group.

The problem with the email is that Earthlink, and any domains hosted by Earthlink are being blocked. I have tried on numerous occasions to contact them but they are not willing to talk to anyone regarding a whitelisting or removal from their blacklist. To be honest, I am surprised they are able to keep their current customers as we are not the only ones to experience these problems with their email service.

I have taken great care to make sure that everything is set up correctly on our end as that has a direct effect on deliverability. We have reverse DNS set up along with proper SPF (Sender-ID) records. I would encourage anyone experiencing these problems with an Earthlink (or mindspring etc...) hosted email account to please complain to them. Also, keep in mind that Earthlink etc... host email for thousands of domains.

You can check the MX records here to see who is hosting your email account. (http://www.swingnote.com/tools/mxlookup.php) - note: iEntry is not affiliated with this site.

Lastly, I would like to apologize for the lack of attention on iEntry's part. If you have any further problems please contact me and I will try to resolve the issue asap. Either PM or you can email me -- fougerej@ientry.com

At least you didn't had to wait as long as I had. (Month or so.)
