ok, right now I'm an assassin (I think? Rogue/Warfare), and I'm wondering using calculated strikes/lethal strike. With all my gear I have almost 200% attack speed, and I find that I can dispatch most act 1 and 2 bosses within the time of the stun of my lethal strike (save for the gorgons... damn three of them) I've not died once, and I'm wondering if this build will be good enough end game.
PS I don't use dual wield, I use an attack speed + shield. |

well, using some fancy-smancy calculations, I wrote a script that will calculate (using DPS and Attack speed) what my real DPS is with lethal strike (and I have the option to add in lucky hit -- though I add it as a percent, so it does throw calculations off a good bit so I rarely use it).
Yes though, I am using swords (right now @ 21 I'm using a sabertooth (green sword with + attack speed and + % damage) as well as an achillies thrown in it.) anyways, I maxed weapons master, (for the % bonus). So basically, CS is worthless when it comes to onslaught? Also, what do you mean about 191%? I think I'm hovering at about 190, or so... That scares me. Basically I wanna know if I'll still be able to fight bosses just by stunning them then pounding them into the ground (and running if neccisary until LS comes back) |

did i say 191? i meant 190 you already reached the attack speed cap and are probably above it.
CS is not crap in comparison to onslaught but its inferior. calculating lucky strike is a pain, because only 1 of the 3 possible effects takes place, also dont forget it only triggers when CS uncharges. dps with lethal strike? you mean like using lethal strike once every 8s? no matter how, dont include Lethal strike into dps calculations it just gives unrealistic values, after all its burst damage and the damage over time is significantly different. that amount would only be true if youre fighting some weird enemy with huge hp and hardly any attacks, a rare combo basically all you ever do is pound bosses, but youll soon faces some that are immune to stuns, youll have to evade much more, but after all hitting enemies with the pointy part of your blade is all it is about. youll just need more refined tactics not to be on the receiving end of pointy things |
