Because I prefer hit a lot and faster than charging to get some power up. With Calculated strike, I'm quite all the time as effective as usual.

Onslaught 26 points
8 charge to get 50% damage
Pierce and damage resistance.
Debuff the target armor defense and speed
then up in %movement and attack speed.

Calculated strike with 14 points
156% damage + 103 pierce damage
+95% pierce damage or 171 bleeding or 84 damage.

The speed is caped to 171% while dual hand and I'm at that speed all the time because my bonus so ardor is useless for me.
debuff in armor and speed, I use mandrake instead, confusion is better than debuf since the enemy can't hit me.
Pierce and damage resistance is great but I need to charge up 8 times.

With calculated strike, and dual wield, Every hit count as a charge. So when hiting 2 or 3 targets ou 1 twice I can get my +95% damage almost every hit.
And the better thing is I can use lethal strike as my last hit and then add 95% damage to the lethal strike damage (500% damage).

I think Onslaught is great, but I choose an other way to go and I think more constant.
In fact I kill almost every monster in 1 or 2 hits because my firts hit in combat are allmost the same every times. With Onslaught it depend how many charges I got.
corrections: onslaught is fully charged up if you hit ONCE. the additional charges on onslaught are solely for keeping up the charged status for a longer time.

damage: onslaught deals +50% damage all the time, except the very first strike. CS deals +156% every 4th hit. with an additional 103 pierce.

lucky hit only has a chance to trigger when CS uncharges-> 8.25% chance to ONE of either +95% pierce, 84 damage or 171 bleed. the bleed being really worthless usually.

lethal strike never can and never will benefit from CS. it will however benefit from Onslaught.

Calculated Strike is a style decision!

For the First point I need some info then.
I take my Spell breaker with dual hand and Onslaught. He is low level so Onslaught is only level 4 (+26% damage) but 4 charge is enougth I think to test.
this character do 55 average damage in the char panel.
I hit one monster my damage increased to 59 (far from 26%) it's strange.
I hit one more monster, my damage goes up to 61, one more and 66 one more 66. Well I wait a bit looking my damage goes down, 61 then 59 then 55...
Strange according your comment...

Just to temperate your comment on CS, but I'm ok it the same for Onslaught, dual strike enable one charge counter for every hit, so when hiting 2 or 3 monster or 1 twice it count as 2 or 3 charges so CS proc very ofen (as onslaught goes up faster)

For the CS an lethal strike, I One shot a yellow high life monster when switching to him and LS him and proc CS at this moment, since with criticals I can't one shot him without CS. So I guess CS and LS work together too.

But I'm ok with your quote CS is a style decision but I don't think it's less powerfull than onslaught.
But after all it's only my opinion.
