Default Illusionist

Hi All,

I'm a low level illusionist and I was wondering if there are tips for skill or strategy for higher level in this class.

I am currently level 11, with heart of oak and a lvl 1 wolf. ...
Here is my current build.

I am having problem with my wolf dying too often, thus needing way too much mana. Should I simply avoid them and use traps instead. I am the main tank and I pull the enemy to my traps with a throwing knife. I think the nymph is more suited to this style of fighting. But what would you suggest, until I am high enough level to have a nymph?

Thanks

Hello, I had some problems with my wolfs constantly dying as well, id recommend maxing out Survival Instinct which really improves your wolfs survival rate. At level 7 Call of the Wild you gain a 2nd wolf which might be good to know as well.

i don't use an illusionist but rogue deals great slowing and fumble effects for every attack with mandrake and nightshade,so if you want to grow around tricky skills then put some points into the plague tree.I'd say just 1 point into plague and max fatigue, then add one point to susceptibility;you could max it though,it would work well too.Max flash powder.max mandrake and nightshade and your char will become very dangerous.I don't like wolves, they're very weak and annoying: i'd say respec the points you spent for them. Then add one point to throwing knife and power it up by maxing flurry of knives. In this way you will be able to throw 4 knives and hit a big group of enemyes;you will inflict high damages and affect them with your mandrake and nightshade.Max heart of oak,the lay trap tree and the nimph tree. You should go well
