Also want make a Corsair, asked question about two possible builds in Defense.
Achille, why you don't want use a Batter? I suppose Batter+Nightshade will make a great combo. Have some doubt in throwing knifes ... Isn't it useless?
And i thing Corsair don't need blade honing ... But don't now what weapon you prefer.
Guys, hope you understand my terrible english

For the weapon i think run for sword (coolllll ^^ ) or spears , i make a choise between batter and flash power , until now flash power save mi life a lot of time , anyway 2 way pretty good i think , think to mantein dagger or maybe leave it ad try to have flash power and batter ...

As I've said before, Batter+Nightshade is the bread and butter of a corsair in late epic/legendary. It's also what advantage we have over every other melee class ingame.

So to be quite honest, max batter. Please.
Rally is great aswell, you should really consider maxing it out.

Quick Recovery, take it. It will grant you a ton of survivability, and sure beats the crap out of most "chance to be used" skills.

Blade Honing is optional, but it's a great DPS-boost, since you will be using a fast sword(read dagger) or a spear. Or the imbalol 100% piercing maul if you get it.

On the subject of throwing knives, the purpose of taking it is to slow the enemies down with poisons *before* they reach you. Needless to say it's very useful. Oh, but don't bother increasing it's damage done with flurry of knives.

The main drawback of your build, imo, is the lack of batter, which is the key offensive(and defensive due to slow effect) skill in the Corsairs arsenal.

you dont increase the damage done with flurry you increase the number of projectiles allowing you to hit full groups easily.

Very similiar to mine, with a few exceptions though, for example I've maxed quick recovery instead of getting flurry and disarm. I also have Rally maxed out instead of various chance on hits.

You increase piercing damage. Granted, you can hit more enemies aswell, which is useful, but I prefer a single knife, since at times it allows me to pull parts of a pack. Also there's alot of better skills to use your points for.

Don't think so. Ok. With this skill my sword will hit 85% base damage + 15% piercing damage instead of usual 90% + 10%. So what? Anyway, i'm planning STR base Corsair (may be even with big mighty axe or maul - as i know, all shield blows also depend on weapon damage), and this pitiful pierceng percentage isn't impotant.

Quick Q there, Corsair, since I'm thinking of a corsair alt.... if you have shield charge, isn't it good enough "ranged" attack not to take throwing knives?

Throwing Knives lets you pull smaller groups of enemies to you, instead of just charging right into the fray. This might not be an issue on Normal, or even Epic(if you have good gear), but on Legendary rushing into an area full of mobs covered with archers/casters often means death. For example this would be a common situation while clearing camps.

Siddharta: A "Str based" Corsair makes no sense, ie. getting more strenght than needed for your gear instead of Dex., since Dex will give you so much more per point. Also +Piercing% is cumulative.
You want a spear for Lethal Strike, and a fast sword for taking out groups of enemies.
