Default Trappers Digest

OK So I've done a bit of testing; that combined with what I've been able to find on the forum here... I still need some clarification regarding traps and some opinions.(appearing down at the questions regarding traps section)

--Aura type things that affect allies will affect traps:
Art of the Hunt
Call of the Hunt
Heart of the Oak


Haven't tested but seems feasible:

Battle Standard
Rally
Earth Enchantment
The wolves howls and such.

"Curses" to weaken enemies:

Study Prey (The BEST one I've seen so far for traps)
Plague (nice, is a powerhouse in itself)
--any other suggestions?


Questions regarding traps:

1. Does item +x% pierce damage affect traps?
2. Dexterity decreases trap regen but does it also increase trap damage?
3. Does Intelligence decreases your Aura type buffs regen?


Suggestions for traps to developers:

1. Please have the trap skill itself increase in damage past level 15. I have boosted my traps beyond this and they still only read 56-63 damage on paper.

Suggestions for ALL non-weapon type of "DPS" showing attacks:

1. I would like to be able to see how much damage my skills are doing. Is it possible to have a display for this? I hate to use this reference but DiabloII:LOD had a primary and secondary display for skills damage on the character sheet. It was VERY well done.





Just some thoughts on traps and suggestions for Developers. May I please have some suggestions/speculation/opinions and confirmation from DEVS? (ok this is a wish, of course)

Edit:

Looked at Storm Nimbus and realized that it does not affect traps. Nor does Nymph in any really effective way.

battle standard

strength of the pack
rally
battle awareness
earth enchantment
blade honing

note that most of them have really retarded effects on traps and are hardly worth it.
there you go. please note that stuff like strength of the pack that gives +70% damage doesnt do anything with traps, since they only deal piercing. Strength of the pack just gives attack speed

plague doesnt lower pierce resistance. you need another player with earth enchantment to make plague work, then it helps force through the 10-12 damage

no items you have affect traps, neither does dex.
dex doesnt do ANYTHING to traps

all int does is give mana regen and elemental damage

traps scale in difficulty level, even the improved firing mechanism damage doesnt show, just dont trust the numbers there.

Hmm. Couldn't find it on search, oh well. Sorry to offend.

Also: Tried dex mods and it regens REALLY fast with all of my dex stuff on but slower without. I could be missing something here.
EDIT: I did miss something: I had Tracker's Hood on ... -35% recharge.

Another thing I would like to see by DEVS:

Display of recharge time. I know this has already been posted in the "Suggestions to Developers" area.. I think it really is important.
