Question Magician? Unsure.

Does Envenom Weapon work with Earth Enchantment, or is it a case of one or the other?
Just completed normal with lvl 32 Rogue and realized I need a bit more power in Epic. I just can't decide if I should go Earth or Storm. I have 7 skill points to add.

What about Storm Nimbus? Would you know if Spirit would be better?

Aha. I'm starting to form a plan.
It's a shame to abandon a pure Rogue, though.

Thanks for your help.

I'm currently playing with a Magician in epic (lvl 35) which has been pretty good so far. Its almost pure rogue (traps/throwing daggers/poison) with the addition of earth enchantment for the fire damage.

It'll help out on your traps since it is an aura effect (unlike storm nimbus which is self only IIRC), and seems to help quite a bit, most notably when using your traps vs undead.

Its also handy for your melee as an added flavor of damage for those enemies resistant to poison.

I figure my long term plan will add in the core dweller to see if it'll work with my play style or not.

Thanks for that Thrugg. I'm just not keen on the Energy Reserve on that. I only have 300 as it is. Guess I'll have to boost my attribute points to go that way.
You see, I've worked hard to get the Rogue this far and I don't want to mess her up with the wrong choice of 2nd mastery.

i never got this "lets get as much possible versions of damage as possible" it really doesnt help your dps to spread out the versions as much as possible. if you just stick to one type of damage you can boost that one so high, its actually easy enough to to enogh damage to kill even resistant enemies. and if you get some -resistance to your damage type its so much better.

imo the strongest rogue build is a brigand (although thats a very personal decision). its pure synergy and he doesnt really play that different from a monoclass rogue, just that he gets way stronger

I have started a new rogue to test out the Rogue/Earth mix. Currently lvl 6.5 ish. As I said, I don't want to bugger up my first Epic character. May try the Brigand tomorrow.

I have a level 37 Magician (traps and core dweller), which seems to work well in Epic. Im gonna try and max Earth Enchantment and maybe even Blade Honing to get the traps to do as much damage as possible.
The only issue is how to develop the char (str, int, dex etc) since he is a bit of a hybrid, it all will boil down to the items you choose to use.
