OK, here's an idea

Do any other skills add to traps dmg?? Volitivity?? Should I bother with knives? Obviously with this build I'll be pumping Int mainly, and just enough str/dex to wear my gear.

Why no points in Brimstone? Your weapons, core dweller, traps and knifes all benefit from the extra damage. 10-12 damage is nothing to sneeze at when it's extra damage PER projectile.
I don't think you should bother with Knifes if you plan on going through with Volcanic Orb. The knives are best used when you can use Earth Enchantment, Honing Blade and Evenom Weapon tree. Go either Knife or Volcanic Orb, and if you go for either, use abilities which boost their power (i.e. Volatility for VO). |

I suppose VO is generally a better skill to have over Knives? (Though I've never tryed knives before and wouldn't mind giving them a go, if I was to do this, what upgrades should I also be maxing?? i.e. what skills add to knives?
