lvl 20 assassin best equip

what would the optimal equipment be for a lvl 20 assassin. also some skill point skill suggestions would be good.

The best for me were Hermes Winged Helm, Hermes Telaria or however you spell it. (Helmet and Boots) and Assassin's Black Pendant. Those should give you max +6/7 to Rogue skills

I always try to find the Bandit's Hood for an early +1 to Rogue skills.
If going with DW, try to find a couple of Ether Blades with Envenom Weapon + Blade Honing. Put Flash Powder on your RMB and go kick it all over the place.

is flash powder really good? it looked dumb to me so i didnt get it. I am currently using a spear and doing around 400 dps (im lvl 27 now). I have on labyrinthine set. is there a better set that i could wear?

I dont really want to give advise on FP so will just help you out with gear as FP can be a long discousion and my build i dont use it as its just too much energy to use but others like it so....

Try nessus for decent starter weapons or gear in his chest, then gorgons the medusa + cave the guards drop decent goods. Best spot that greens rival blues is jade palace its just a little village and right over the bridge i get my gear.

You can get sabertooth swords and tigermen leggins that give you 30% attack speed you will move very slow (walk) but you will have max weapon speed and very nice swords. Also there is body armors there not as good as gorgons but have elemental resists so maybe you can make use of them.

Many arachnid caves and labryanths last wp before minataur boss has spiders to farm for poison charms. You need to roll offence bonus so you can boost criticals up to every hit equals a crit or you wont be doing enough damage, anyways not enough to kill undead.

You will eventually need second weapon setup either sword/axe/blunt as pierce damage is not important but elemental damage is and relic/charm them with damage to undead as its what you will use them against. Dont bother with damage to demons stuff you can kill them easy with poison.

Ok forgot a few things...

You have to equipt yourself - one for poison/bleed/pierce and 2 for elemental damage + vs undead so the inventory is small you will want to find jewlery for both setups and the weapons is easy you can carry them and why i just use poison damage charms in my gear with offence bonus its been the best possible sollution i could find so i would not have to change armors every few mins as undead all over the game but only when you go for last telkin are they very hard and should consider caution as many groups will have more then 1 spellcaster so this is were you will need resists and good elemental damage jewlery.

You can start to find pierce/poison damage rings on last vendor before the gorgons cave so check often during runs for them.

it had the best damage and spears also have good peircing, which is what assassins use.

I have yet to find a spear that does as well as when I dual wield, then of course the multi-target attacks from the dual wield line are a godsend with mandrake/nightshade, much easier to keep a crowd poisoned.

Ok i can see why it looks to have best damage. but the weapon is slow attack speed so your DPS will be lower and you dont have hunter mastery to improve your weapon speed. Plus as the other guy says you get more atacks with DW. Just try to buy 2 swords at vendor or use a couple from monster drops to try it and you will notice if you have points in the DW mastery that damage is much better.

But im not worry as sooner or later you will use 2 swords! as you dont get volley and spear will ultimatly break for you. You know the old saying. I got to legendary and my build is broken. what to do now... hehe

One more good place to look for swords is the spider queen were that village is on fire. She usually can drop arachnid tips there poison swords and also many diffrent elemental damage swords. Plus good rings if you get lucky. And the chests there can drop blues.

well, i can see how swords would be better for a higher level assassin, but at a lower level, when you barely get any help from the dual wield line (because you havent had time to put enough points into the skills, and it doesnt take effect very often), a spear is better IMO. It is also quicker to kill mobs if you can one hit each person and then stab the next, as opposed to hitting them 3 times with your moderately IAS on a sword. Also, i do look at my DPS.
