It all depends on the maturity of the posters. If you don't degenrate into flaming eachother, it'll be fine. But know this, I've got my eyes on you.

Well, this is going to sound funny, but it is a good read either way.

I decided to sell my copy of tq/it on ebay. Don't know if that is legal or not but anyway....
I go to find my copy of tq/it to take a picture of it to put into the ad, and I discovered it was missing! I looked everywhere before I realised that about a month ago I had a clean out and threw out the empty game boxes, and must have left the IT disc inside the box where it has been since the last time I tried to play the game.
So basically I have thrown away my copy of IT and didn't realise it for a month or so.

Oh well, look at the bright side. I'm left with the TQ disc only which runs fine and at least one poor e-bayer has been saved from owning immortal throne. Come to think of it, I probably would have copped a negative from selling it!

But yeah. The devs are quiet on the subject of any patch for IT. It has been two months since it's release. A quick fix anything patch would restore our faith in the game. Even a posted rumour would awaken the embers of hope.
And news that the dev is in some kind of financial trouble or something only bangs more nails into the coffin.

I hate to say it, but my opinion is that immortal throne is finished for me. Untill one day I upgrade my computer a couple of times over to a system that will run it in it's current form, but by then i'll be playing WOW3, D4, Sacred 3 or Quake 6, or something like that.
And yes, after something like this, you are very wary of buying anything from THQ or iron lore. From now on, I will be fully researching any game I consider to purchase, checking for problems and ensuring that patches are being released via internet forums such as this. After being burnt in the sacred fiasco and now the Titan quest/immoral throne one, there is just so many times you can be gyped of your money and not become bitter from it.

I think we need to have a forum-wide attitude adjustment.

Immortal Throne as it was intended is a great game, we just didn't get it as intended.

I believe that there will be a patch from Iron Lore. Whether that patch addresses all of the problems with the expansion remains to be seen, as even 1.20 left the 557 leggings and Resilience bugs in.

It's not outside of hope that we as a community could take the game from there and make it what it was intended to be. Other communities have done it, we can too.

Bottom Line: If you jump the gun and get rid of TQ/IT and denounce Iron Lore, you're only setting the entire community back by your own pessimism. Everyone here has the power to prevent this from happening. We must have a positive attitude and dedicate ourselves to this game that we all love.

Immortal Throne is still a great and it's not like the bugs destroy it, they're more like a nuisance. Still, it would be nice to hear something from IL...

Hey, can we keep it civil Infares? Otherwise this thread will get closed just like all the others.

Firstly, its called free speech. Im entitled to my opinion. It is my copy of the game and I am free to throw it into the bin (deliberately or accidentely) or as I feel fit including putting it into the back of the cupboard and never playing it ever again.
Im entitled to make my mind up to buy what ever game in the future as I see fit. If I decide to throw a dice, use the stars, or whatever to decide my future purchases, it is my choice. My money.

You believe that there will eventually be a patch for IT. Cool. I think that eventually, you will be right. But as I said before. I misplaced my copy of this game about a month ago. I didn't miss it. Im past this game. It cost me $50.00 aus for something I haven't been able to gain any enjoyment from so far. Only fustration and anger. I'd rather throw it away and save further fustration and anger and go and buy another game that will give me fun and enjoyment.
For me, that is reason enough for me, my opinion, to no longer be interested in it. Time to move on, time to buy another game and leave IT in the trash bin or where ever I did actually put it.

Bottom line, Im not jumping the gun. Im making my mind up. Im not denouncing iron lore. They did get TQ mostly right after all. Im just going to be careful about anything they ever release in the future, just like Ascaron (sacred). I could well buy another game made by either of them, but only after i'm sure it actually works first. Thats called buyers choice.
Im not setting the community back at all with my pessimism. Starting a flame war, or trying to is setting this community back with yet another closed thread on the subject. Im voicing my opinion about what Im doing about TQ/IT, the community can read my opinion and share it or ignore it. Most will ignore my opinion but I don't care. Venting my fustration with the expansion pack is the only way so far I have been able to get any fun and enjoyment from it.
I have a positive attitude. Im not going to "dedicate myself" to this expansion pack. It's flawed. I'll save my dedication for a game that works.

While I respect your optimism (but not your manners... I'm sure we can all read text at normal size), Infares, I am quite sure that we will not see another patch. I've been following the release and patch process of hundreds of games during the last 15 years and I can assure you that a company that just vanishes like Iron Lore did isn't going to release anything anymore.
I might still be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm not. Unfortunately. I'd rather play a patched TQ/IT than check this forum every week just to see that, again, nothing has happened. Admittedly, I am beyond caring by now and have shelved the game for good, it's just that TQ/IT in principle is a nice game and Iron Lore could have done an even nicer sequel.
At least I now have more time for other games... days are simply too short.

Did they actually vanish, or are they just not visiting this forum?

Please note that I am not trying to flame or anything, I just want to make sure I didn’t miss something along the lines of an official bankrupt/dissolved/etc. type of message.

I want to thank everyone on the forum for all the input on builds and for being so helpful to a noob during my time here. Unfortunately, I have had to remove TQ:IT from my hard drive until if and when it will be patched.

This is a great community and you deserve something better, but oftentimes it just can't be done. I would say the developers have had the plug pulled on them, and that many of them may no longer even work for Iron Lore.

I've checked the Iron Lore site--it's all job openings and news of a "new cross-platform" console something that they aren't telling. Meanwhile THQ has signed Big Huge Games for their next RPG on PC and Xbox 360.

I would say that the best hope of a patch lies with the community at this point, and other fan communities have done wonders with flawed games like Temple of Elemental Evil, Vampire:Bloodlines and such. So best of luck and I will be watching the site for any hopeful news.

I greatly enjoyed my time with Titan Quest and Immortal Throne, and with the members here. The expansion is a masterpiece in many ways. I just can't play it without it shutting down my computer and corrupting my display drivers.

Again, thanks all and best of luck to the community and the game.

Let's make this thread not like the 20 others that already exsist with people saying that they are done with IL. <insert rant> and then others saying that people are enjoying the game.

How about we actually talk about a... patch? Maybe we can talk about what we want to see in the next patch? Or maybe we can talk about who is going to be making the patch (from the community)

I know this idea is kinda crazy but maybe a good read in a thread titles "Patch" will take a proactive step in that direction, huh? I know liberal free thinker here right? Sometimes I guess ya just gotta rock the boat.
