My using bold big text was only to draw attention to the text, it wasn't yelling, flaming, or uncivil. This thread is simply becoming a copy of the last one and I don't want that. What could we possibly discuss here that will do anything either for or against Iron Lore patching the game? Absolutely nothing, this (and the last one) have become a venting avenue for those upset by what they perceive to be Iron Lore's abandonment when without them we wouldn't have ever had the game to begin with.

There's things being said that Iron Lore needs to hear, and have heard (as chooch himself visited the last iteration of this thread multiple times). All we can do is wait for whatever's coming and hope we don't have to intervene in compensation, but be prepared to nonetheless.

At some point, we'll have to focus on how much we think the game is worth to us, instead of how much we paid for it.

So you don't hear from the company for two months and you automatically assume your never going to see another patch for this game ever again? Have patience people I've put too many hours into this game to just let it die. If freedom of speech is what you fall back on, then so be it: Shut up and let the developers work. Down-times happen, get over it.

Why is there such a lack of good Hack & Slash games nowadays anyways? They have always been one of my favorite types of games mainly because it takes too long to make a good RPG, ahh D&D, the good old days.

Seems like when Black Isle studios folded (thanks Interplay), the games just dried up. Which is really sad for me.

I think that TQ is an amazing game. A tad overboard on the graphics compared to the typical machine nowadays but a great game none the less. I guess that being a class addict helps for my love for the type of game. I can easily go through the exact same game dozens of times just trying out new classes. and that could easily take months with my free time.

A patch that fixes the rubberbanding and stutter would help immensely. I would still play the game probably for months because well, there isn't much being developed with any imagination now.

Yes I uninstalled the game, yes I deleted all save games. Yes I would still play it if it was patched.

TQ is a great game, Immortal Throne has issues.

What kind of bugs are there? I've only noticed slight (!) rubber-banding and three broken quests...

I've been rebooting A LOT lately. And I don't think it has to do with the xmax mod since it happened once or twice with that off also. Uncool. It's been happening roughly once every 2-3hours of play. Very sad it is.

But I dont think those things can be addressed by us, I want to see the quests fixed and balances like that.

I'm pretty much a lurker around here, but I don't see what everyone is complaining about. Immortal Throne has very few issues compared to the Original release of TQ. I have never had a single crash (knock on wood) playing IT without any MODs running. I have experienced a little "rubber-banding" but not enough that makes the game unplayable. If you are experiencing crashes I suggest you stop using Defiler and other programs in tandem and see if your issues subside. Nothing against the MODs, I use them to, but if I crash out I know what caused it, the MOD not the game.

I look forward to a patch to help the rubber-banding, and whatever Easter Eggs may be included, in the mean time I'll be farming the Gorgons and trying to get past Dave in the Legendary Secret Passage!

I havent uninstalled TQ or IT , i play everynight for 3- 4 hours , with slight rubberbanding and never notice if i dont get anything for quests . I just have fun . Although ive been playing BF2 more frequently , just because my clan mates keep annoying me to join in , even then its 2 or so hrs playing BF2 , then its on to TQ and i get some of them to join me over voip , as they have the game too ! from our talks and mail none of us seem to have any major issues .

This could be possibly fromus having PCs that can play BF2 with no issues , as earlier on bf2 was one of the buggiest games around .

But i digress , i have yet to get character to even finish Legendary out of 12 odd characters , so the way i see it , ive got lots of play time left , along with all the new maps being made by modders , i cant see myself putting this game down for along time patch or no patch .

in the next patch , id like to see customizable Character features (height , width, musculature etc ) i think this would make for a greater rang of characters , as mage could look like a mage , have a big fat cleric etc,. somewhat like the Autosculpt feature on Need For Speed Carbon

my 2 cents

Immortal Throne is great, but it does have issues that need addressed badly.

All games wear out no matter how awesome they are, I played Diablo 2 for a couple of years, but it finally got to where I can't look at it anymore. We want to play this game, because it's a great game. Alot of people on the boards here are really upset because they do love the game that much, and feel that their playtime during these months going by without a patch is really hindered. Maybe some of these people like for their experience to be the best it can be. I don't think anyone expects it all to be perfect, just for things to work the way they are supposed to, and for the game not to stutter like it does. Perhaps get some kind of feedback from Iron Lore?

The stuttering problem could be too deeply rooted to fix easily, therefore not being worth their time, but I feel like Iron Lore owes us at least one patch for Immortal Throne to fix the things that are broken and bugged out, things that do not work the way they are supposed to. I think it's screwed up that they are completely avoiding any contact with the community over the whole deal. The uncertainty of there ever being a patch is what sucks the most, and nobody knows what is going on.
