A more RPG-ish ARPG would be awesome, with that skill/class system it can't go wrong...

I certainly hope not, a company who has grown it's teeth so to speak on ARPG's I feel should move forward with the experience and expertise that they have learned along the way...to form an even "better" game.
Just my personal opinion, but I think IL has a good thing going and I'd certainly like to see where that leads. And again, I "personally" don't necessarily see the 3d Isometric game being rendered obsolete. (unless that means no controlling camera view lol) I've actually been working on what I call the "white sheets" for a A/RPG game for the last few months. And like many, have a few ideas and thoughts about what would make a fun, as well as profitable game. In my own opinion, and what I gather from the limited research I've been able to compile, Graphics are not the end-all feature that players need. Important...yes, but the vast majority it seems would give up some graphical beauty for a game that provided "other" stimuli and content. I could list the objectives that I've outline thus far and prove my point...but then I'd let loose my secrets heh But my "vision" is a game that would be "playable" and fun as well as Challenging...for as long as a person wanted to play. We're talking a player could play (and continually save) and develop a/several character/s till they either quit or died. A monument in a sense, though obviously in a limited capacity, to the efforts and time a player invested and/or achieved at their own pace. Anyway... IL imo should move forward with lessons learned and create an even MORE kick @SS ARPG game than TQ/IM was/is!!! ![]() Again, just my humble opinion lol Regards All

The absolute silence from Iron Lore regarding an upcoming (or lack of) a patch is likely wrapped in a clause in the contract with THQ. They (Iron Lore) are likely not allowed to disclose any work being done in regards to Immortal Throne without a rubber stamp from THQ.
Now that I've said that, and gone on to read all 18 pages of this thread... Money makes the world go 'round. As always, IL has my support and thanks for a very addicting game and Xpack. My wife curses you every day [wink] I'm glad to hear that IL wants to create a patch, and I understand completely that it is going to be difficult without funding. To that end, I would suggest that the pressure should be redoubled on the THQ end. Those who are experiencing issues need to let THQ know that their business is in serious jeopardy if they ignore the need for a patch. Even though I do not personally suffer from the RB issue (I'm fortunate enough to be able to upgrade frequently), I play with 4 others who do. If THQ sticks its head in the sand and ignores the people who purchase their games, they should expect people to ignore games with the THQ logo when perusing the new releases shelf. Let THQ know of your intentions. To Iron Lore I would suggest that they shop around for a new publisher if THQ ignores us. I will continue to support IL on another label. PC powerplay recently did a top 100 games of all time and TQ logged in at number 33 rubbing shoulders with games like warcraft 3, counterstrike and UT2k4. All of which I am sure, sold heaps of copies. The sales of TQ doesn't make sense given how good the game actually is. The whole situation is a crying shame. The game deserves a much better fate than this. Many have dared compare TQ to the cult hit D2/LoD. Whether it is as good, better or even only a half the game D2 actually is, TQ deserved the comparable sales that D2/loD has. And if TQ/IT did sell well, perhaps a patch would have been released. So what do I tell my friends? Buy the game because they actually want to, and hopefully, a patch will happen because of those sales?

I am one of the ones who actually think its better than Diablo 2, if only it had secure servers. and yes its a **** travesty if the sales have not been up there.
It is seriously one of the most addicting games i have played, and in my 20 years as a hardcore gamer, that says alot...
