Shouldn't you be able to get the English voice files and just drop them directly into the German version? If I knew which files to send I'd copy mine off and send them to you. ![]()

It's more complex. Before, in the original game, there was an in-game option to change the language. This setting determined the display of text in the game, including item names. All of this is now in German, too, and it is no longer possible to change the language at all. I probably could live with the audio (poor as it is -- and it's really poor!), but I play only with English speaking people, so I have a "small" problem when it comes to discussions/etc about quests and items.
![]() Yes, I agree, it's probably the publisher's responsibility. Iron Lore has actually always been reasonable. I'll post a message on THQ's German board. Changing the language in options.txt (in the user's path) doesn't help. The default setting is on English as well, but the game ignores it. |

Haha, you never heard any of the voice acting? Some of the Greek Storytellers make you want to kick them in the sack.

Localization is all determined by the publisher and the territory... the developer rarely has much say in these localization issues. The actual dialog archives were quite large and there was no way to ship every dialog archive for every SKU which is why this is done. If you wanted the speach back in english you could find someone that would be willing to post the english dialog archive and just swap the files.
The file you need is called dialog.arc It is named the same for every SKU. |

Currently running a search for "dialog.arc" on my computer. The regular TQ one is 186 megs...
Immortal Throne Dialog.arc is 170 megs. I'm gonna get an upload account and put these up for you guys. I think the audio speech for the English Version has already been uploaded and posted. Question: Does the Dialog.arc include the text for skills and items too or just the NPCs? If anyone here is interested in receiving the English Version dialog.arc PM me with your email addy and I'll send it via Megaupload.

In TQ the path to the text archive is \Titan Quest\Text\Text_??
The dialog archive is \Titan Quest\Audio\Dialog.acr In Immortal Throne: Text is Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Resources\Text_??.arc Dialog is Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Resources\XPack\Dialog.arc You will need both dialog archives from TQ and TQIT to change all the dialog throughout the game. The text language and dialog language do not have to match... |
