Everything other than Titan Quest and Immortal Throne are unsupported mods. TQ Vault was developed by Bman, so yes it also falls under this category.

Some Others:
Defiler
Portable
Hades
TQA
Chest

TQVault has its own folder in the My Documents area, which you should probably leave alone.

The only things you need to get rid of in a clean install is the stuff in the Program Files\THQ\Titan Quest folder. Run the Start Menu > THQ > Titan Quest uninstall utility then manually delete the program files\thq\titan quest folder in its entirety along with everything in it (including mods).

You shouldn't have to even touch the My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest folder at all.

Yes and no, it's suggested that you transfer every item you currently have in Titan Quest over to mule characters and get them to pass the compatibility check via TQVaultMon, and start the game with each character in turn to get them past the check before you do the clean install.

TQVault as of yet is incompatible with Immortal Throne, at least as far as transferring items.

Any items you leave in the vault will stay there, just you won't be able to use them until the program gets fixed.

Yes, in fact there's one in literally every town as far as I know, including Helos itself. They don't make you wait until Delphi like they do with the Mystic.
