Is Immortal Throne released already?
As of right now? Feb 28 / 07? I have seen it on "questionable" sites, and it does appear to be the full expansion pack. the size is areound 2 1/2 gig. I didn't know where to post this, just thought you devs would like to know. Sorry ![]()

I have brought this to the attention of IronLore. There's nothing else we can do about it, unfortunately.

ya know, I was wondering if it would be viable for developers to make it to where the executable file doesn't work until you download something online from them after validating your CD Key to prevent piracy like this.
It really bothers me, because if less people BUY games like this because they are pirating them, than that means there is less incentive for IronLore and other companies to make them, and make them well. *sigh*

So, people who don't have an internet connection can't play the game?
Can't work that way. Anyhoo, I'm off to bed.

While I'd welcome any transparent/unobstrusive mechanism that a developer deems necessary to lessen piracy. I won't give tacit approval to any mechanism that makes me, the law abiding paying consumer, have to go through extraordinary, troublesome, or cumbersome lengths to play a game I paid for. Having programs phone home to play them is punitive and restrictive. Technologies like starforce are intrusive and pose system security, performance, and stability issues. Undoubtedly, this is a complex and financially vexing issue for publishers.

Yeah, those are good points. And there are definitely way more honest consumers out there than pirates. I just hope the level of piracy in the gaming community in general is not enough to put a serious dent in developer and publisher incentives.
