You should have a folder called \My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\Working\Database\Templates*

Unzip and put these files in that folder: http://rapidshare.com/files/11186769...files.zip.html

Do that FIRST, then install these dbrs: http://rapidshare.com/files/111766922/pcs.zip.html

This should fix things.

[Edit] * If you don't have that folder, open ArtManager, load records\xpack\creatures\pc\malepc01.dbr into the editor, then click on the menu bar View\Show Template. That will tell you the path you have to use.

[More Editing] I added the character.tpl file which seems to be the one that is really needed. However, you really should download all the templates and install them (see below).

When I open a dbr in Artmanager for editing, it automatically deletes a whole whack of entries, including triggerboundingvolume from the record...it looks like this:

DbEditor: Deleting variable "triggerBoundingVolumes" from record "femalepc01.dbr"

Any ideas how to stop it?

Yep, same problem with me. Hence why my maenad mod is missing it...

If anyone would be so kind and help me out, could someone do the following?

-Please download my dual-wielding Maenad PC Mod from Savefile

-Edit it in your Artmanager - go to the Xpack/player and edit femalepc01.dbr.

-Please change the value of 'Triggerboundingvolumes' under the Character tab to 1 or whatever it is normally

-save the file and build the mod

-send the built mod back to me via email or file-uploader!

I'm truly maddened by IT's 'feature' that the triggerboundingvolume keeps dissappearing. I installed the templates, updated the game, tried everything, to no avail. And with this playing the game is quite frustrating - I have to go back and kill the Chimera over again because using the mod, the gate doesn't open...

On quick question for Madman too - need it for my new skin - which jackalman mesh did you use for the PC mod, the somewhat bulkier melee mesh (jackalman01.msh) or the skinnier mage mesh (jackalmanmage01.msh)? Thanks!

From what I can gather, you not only must have the new templates, but they must be in ...\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\Working\Database\Templates, and in ArtManager you must list this directory under "Additional Working Directories" (with the full path from C:\). Here is where to download the IT templates:

Edit: PROBLEM SOLVED! Make sure you are using . as decimal separator when extracting the DB. German Windows installations default to , , which causes problems because , is used as a separator between fields in dbr files. There shouldn't be a problem with English Windows installations because they default to .
Deletion problems can also be caused by missing Template files, so if you have an English Windows installation you are most likely just missing the Immortal Throne Templates. Link to where to get them is further down.

Could you upload a copy of this file: ...\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\Working\Database\Templates\Character.tpl

This seems to be the one that is the actual problem. The player.tpl file I uploaded doesn't actually have the triggerBoundingVolumes variable; it just #includes# this file which has the variable.

I also put a new link above to a zip that includes the character.tpl file. This is mainly for the next person who happens along - I think your problems go beyond just missing templates. You may want to compare it to the copy you have, though (you can open them in notepad - they're just text files).

Many, many thanks I Raps! You are a true hero! I already updated my mod's link with the corrected one, it works fine (I just killed the Chimera and the door opened and I received my third bag too)!

Here is the Character.tpl you requested! Character.tpl! I tried adding the Templates directory to the Additional Directories in art Manager, but it still doesn't work.
Could be that I had the same problem as the german guy, though, since my Windows is Hungarian. But I don't remember that I ever had to exctract the whole database, only files I needed for the mod... what files should be extracted, anyway? The resources with Arcexplorer?

You don't need to extract the database unless you want to. It makes it easier to look through many dbrs and compare them; or if you want to change a group of dbrs with a batch program instead of importing them and changing them one by one. I've also found no advantage to extracting the arcs. The program still searches them for newer files than the extracted ones, so if anything, it's a little slower.

Hungarian will cause the same problems Galefury had, because it uses a comma in numbers instead of a decimal point. You can change your regional settings when you need to use ArtManager so it doesn't delete variables. Click on your START button, then Settings, then Control Panel. You'll see something called Regional and Language Options (though it might be called something in Hungarian on your computer). Doubleclick that and you'll see a drop-down list of languages. Select English (United States) and you should be good to go.

I've looked at your Character.tpl compared to mine and there is a considerable difference. You really should download that TQIT-Templates.rar from post 135. UNRAR it and you should get the complete folder Templates. Put this folder in ...\My Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\Working\Database\ and make sure it overwrites everything there.

Looking at those files you also see right off why this game is buggy: the first #include file# uses a value "%TEMPLATE_DIR%database\templates\Actor.tpl"; that %TEMPLATE_DIR% then is not used again for the other #includes#. Not only do they not use the same format from file to file, they don't even maintain a format through two lines of the same file. Grrrrrr

Great! Thanks!

I downloaded the templates and it did the trick... Now I finally see that darn triggerboundingvolumes tag! I didn't even had to change the regional settings...

The question remains, though - what was wrong with the old templates? I got them form this forum, from the post where the makers of the game first posted them...

Ah anyway, what matters is that I can finally work on the mod again! Many thanks for the help!
