Bug: Got quest credit when not partied with the completer

I was in a game as a level 7 and invited a level 32 into my party, and he accepted, but I realized he'd probably just be farming Typhon to steal my items, so I removed him from the party. A few minutes later, he killed Typhon and I for some reason also got credit for completing the quest, even though he was not in my party.

That means it's impossible for my character to ever get items from Typhon because the game thinks he already did that quest. And the ******* that killed him got extra epics by stealing mine.

I'll have to downgrade to 1.15 later on so I can get what I'm owed.

MP cross-questing is a frequent problem. If another player completes the quest, you are supposed to have that quest 'greyed-out' and not complete it in that gaming session. But, any player in the game regardless of party seems to advance the Wusao/Typhon quests for you. If you want another shot at the first run Typhon drops, you can delete .que files. However, if you continued to play and completed or received more quests after Typhon was beat, you may delete your current quests too.

I don't know why these knobs join low level games to farm Typhon (especially now after the anti-boss-farm drops in v1.20), but if any of the end game sounds (earthquake for Ormenos or booming laugh from Typhon) go off, or if my quests are advanced, I kick/ban from the game. Alternatively, you can set level restrictions to prevent it from happening again.

Thanks. I always set level restrictions but I wasn't the one that had created the game. (I did form the party though.)

As far as I remember, Zeus' speech bubble never appeared in that game, nor did Typhon's laugh. But it still gave me quest credit. I did play quite a bit beyond that but I think it'll be worth it deleting .que files.
