How Do I Get The New Patch Working!!!

Well i was very excited to see there was a new patch but i downloaded it and File CRC check failed. patch aborted came up.

It really would help if someone could help me fix this problem. thank you...

I just clicked the "updates" button on the main page. It run, asked if I wanted to apply the update, then restarted TQ.

If that does not work you can try downloading the patch, but the update button should work.

Maybe your firewall is getting in the way?

I've done both of them and they both say the same thing file crc check failed patch aborted...

Did you alter any game file? (like using a no-DVD, using the modified dlls to remove shadows and night, any other mod altering game files like TQ Enhanced Experience).

If you did, you need to get all the game files in their pristine original state, or of course the patch won't be able to recognize them as being the original ones and won't install (that's what the crc check fail says: the patch can't recognize some of your files as the original ones for the version you're supposed to patch from).

im having the same problem. there are two files that i modified, but i had a backup of the original files and replaced them before trying to patch.

although i would rather not remove and reinstall titanquest, is this my only option at this point? is there a way to keep from losing my characters?

Uninstalling does not in any way, shape or form touch your save games, as those aren't stored in the game's installation folder.

So just go ahead and re-install; it sure is quicker than waiting for a response here. Just be sure to use the same CD-key, as your characters are tied to it.

Hum, hadn't seen with my first post that this thread was in questions for devs while it should have been in tech corner > Patch 1.15 issues, so moving there now
