Before I downloaded 1.11, I played about 40 hours single player and close to 55 multiplayer. No crashes. Ever. No disconnects on MP. Ever. Even when doing tricky portal jumping during boss battles. Basically as flawless as it gets (aside from the inconsistent frame rate that everyone else reports).
But after 1.11, any time someone tries to use a portal, or if two players die in rapid succession somebody gets dropped. This has been repeatable numerous times over 15+ hours of play. In one amusing/frustrating instance a player came back after being dropped and found that all of the NPCs in a town (Spartan camp) were GONE! Only 2 dogs and a horse remained. While they were friendly they certainly weren’t able to update his quest for obvious reasons. He reconnected numerous times but no joy. Finally he went into single player, wandered around a bit, exited and rejoined and the people were back. I thought it was a fluke but this has been repeatable 5 times with up to 12 different players. I won’t even mention performance improvement with this patch because there wasn’t any, for me or any of my friends online (several of whom have better machines than mine). Hopefully the next patch will be 1.08 in disguise so I can go back to enjoying my Titan Quest like I did for 100+ hours before the nightmare that is 1.11 invaded my rig. Yeah, I’ve thought about rolling back but at this point I’m just too tired and frustrated to care.
