Ok i had the game running fine from my first install, well i say fine i had to use the 98 compatability trick to get mouse running fine, had some crashes and jittery npc speach. so i figure ill do the update to 1.11
Now when ever i try and load the game nothing happens! if i dont have a cd in the drive it tells me so, but if i do have the cd in their the game just dosnt load, titanquest.exe is in the process list in task manager but not int eh appliations list. As i said it was working before the patch :/ Any ideas would be ace Edit: should have mentioned i used a no-cd patch with the origonal installation Last edited by Phantom : 08-09-2006 at 11:58 AM. |

I had this happen once. I opened and closed the dvd-rom drive in order to click play from the autorun. That worked and it hasn't complained about not seeing the cd since. I believe this was right after I patched the game to 1.08 as well.
Anybody else have text missing from the forum? I look down and see 4 checkboxes, but only one has writing next to them: "Automatically retrieve titles from external links". Also, the "preview" and "submit" buttons don't have writing, but the "save changes" button does.

I have exactly the same problem as the original poster. The difference is that I have never used a nocd exe.
No matter what I do I can see the TitanQuest.exe in the Processes and the hard drive is spinning away to it's spindals content but nothing is happening. Full patched XP Pro SP2 upto date drivenada nada nada....... Thouroughly narked at this point. |

I am member of TQ french community. Yesterday, Microsoft upgraded Windows XP SP2, with this patch : WindowsXP-KB917422-x86-FRA.exe Since, a huge part of the players cant launch TQ : the process appear, the hard drive "sounds" work, but nothing happen. If you uninstall this upgrade, all works. No-dvd users dont have this problem, so it seems to be linked to Starforce protection. See if you have a recent upgrade of Windows XP SP2 named WindowsXP-KB917422-x86, and just try to uninstall it. |
