Default Crashing computer patch 1.11

Hi i know this my seem like a repeat thread but i havent seen anyone having the same problem. the game crashes completely and takes the computer with it not to desktop to reboot straight away no exeception file being created and it does it after about 10-15 mins of playing. even if i set all graphics to low and all nicetys off it still does it. Was fine right up till i got to the labrinth where i now cant complete it as i just crashes and reboots. i have a reasonable system and the temps are all fine so its not overheating have checked. its a great game and have loved it so far really hope this can get sorted as i just cant get any further.

My System
All latest drivers used and windows fully updated

AMD athlon 64 4000 (@2.7Ghz)
Abit AN8 Fatal1ty Mobo
2GB Corsair 3500LL Pro
Nvidia 7800Gtx 256Mb (91.31 Forceware)
2x250Gb Western Digital Cavalir (Raid 0)

Try under clocking your video card. I was having the same issue with an Nvidia card the BFG 6800GT. The game causes the card to oveheat and your system crashes. If you don't have the option to play with clock frequency in your Nvidia control panel then download CoolBits http://www.cybertechhelp.com/download/file/coolbits

Cheers. . .

ok tried that exactly the same problem temp didnt even get over 50 degrees C
mobo was @ 45 degrees C CPU was @ 35 degrees C Case temp was 40 Degrees C. so i cant see it being temperature related.

If you start a new game does it crash? If it does try lowering your clock speeds more.

Are you overclocking your CPU?

My AMD 64 used to get really unstable if overclocked even by half a percent, even though the temperature used to be fine. It caused all kinds of nightmares with Halflife 2.

Once I reset it it to factory it was fine.
