TQ resets INet Connection on MP Join

Prob is in Topic. It happens 80% of the time.
I use WLan, but that shouldnt be the problem - cause its the same if i connect my pc directly to the dsl router.

Specs:
x2 4400+
x1800xt (512)
2gb ram
win xp (sp2 up-to-date)
all the latest drivers and firmware.

Any anti-virus/firewall running? By dsl router do you mean the modem or an actual router? If a router, what kind?

its the modem. and for the wlan thing i use a usr router (8154 imo). and yea i got anti-vir running in the back (its always active and i never had probs - if the thats the prob with tq - i would have to laugh about il.)

Just a possible thing to try... Run Titan Quest in (windows) priority "low". This has helped for me with some Internet related problems too, like the crashing of my instant messenger client, and very bad lag effects when using Skype while running Titan Quest.

These problems disappeared since I run TQ in low priority mode !

Try turning off the AV. You don't need it running anyway.

Hi Hanso,

We're currently looking at some other router-specific issues that seem similar to what you're seeing. Just to be clear, you're saying that ~80% of the time your DSL modem resets itself when you try to join a TQ game? How about if you host a game and people join you? Does your DSL modem act in a similar manner with any other apps?

Hi. Just to make it clear this is what happens 80% i try to join a TQ MP Game Online (LAN works well for connection):
a) Loading screen comes up.
b) Loads for 15s to 1min.
c) Looses connection to the server.
Now i check what happened:
d1) the DSL Modem is still at Green Lights.
d2) My PC is still connected to the WLan Router.
d3) Tho the lights at the DSL Modem are Green i cannot connect to the INet (for about 1-3 Minutes then the connection to the INet comes back automatically).
d4) My Router does not reset.
d5) My DSL Modem does not reset.

To say it in easy words. Nothing happens besides i cannot connect to the INet for 1-3 Minutes.

No, I don't have this prob with any other game so far and
Yes, ppl can join TQ MP Online games I open and they don't get disconnected nor do I (at least what I experienced so far).

Just out of curiosity, do you refresh the server list prior to connecting? If so, after refreshing try waiting a few minutes (like 3) before trying to connect to a server. Does this resolve the issue?
