best pet summoner?

Im just wondering what would be the best combination for a great pet summoner.

I say Conjurer...

Core Dweller for keeping aggro, Liche King for annihilation...

Soothsayer, especially with enough -Recharge/Refresh to have the Outsider up constantly.
Outsider, lich king, 3 wolves, Nymph and Plague Tree as a really nice debuff.

if you have it, you can use IT's Dream mastery for a great buff to all your pets via the Nightmare.


barring that, I personally like the Soothsayer's versatility. the ability to heal, have a total of 6 pets (3 wolves when full, nymph, liche, outsider), debuff with plauge, and do some serious damage with ternion made it one of my early favorites

which is a better summon?... the lich or the core dweller from earth? The core dweller seems to go fairly well in the higher levels. Plenty of life points and good armor rating.

Is the nymph worth maxing? Its a pretty good summon but i've never tried maxing it.

Say if i had a summoner build... for the wolves - is it better to max survival instinct and strength of the pack or just strength of the pack?

The Liche is the better summon. More durable, and more damage. If you're a conjurer, I'd have both. The Core Dweller aggros monster a bit better.

The Nymph doesn't give that good returns for your skill points.

Survival Instinct vs. Strength of the Pack..it's up to you do decide. If your wolves die too often, then it's SI..

The Lich is more durable. He is the best. However, the Core Dweller holds aggro better than the Lich.

The Core Dweller will fare a LOT MORE than fairly well when you reach Epic & Legendary. It will become nigh indestructible if you max its summon tree (except Wildfire - 1 point is enough). Keep in mind that the CD works best as a tank. i.e, letting him engage monsters while you dish out the damage yourself. The Liche King, on the other hand, is more of the offensive type with Death Nova, and Arcane Blast.

The liche with 70% damage absorption and 33% dmg resistance, along with 15-50% dm converted to health isn't going to die that easily either.
