Thumbs up The Road (this looks fantastic!!!)

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810037227/video/13468775

Thought about reading the book as it's by the same author that wrote "No Country For Old Men" which I personally loved (the movie heh didn't read that book yet either) but haven't had the time because I've been working on the Steven Erikson books...but after seeing this trailer I'm kind of glad, now it'll be a surprise and from the looks of it a very powerful, exciting and moving film!

Can't wait!!!

ps - I'm not sure but they may have changed/added some to the original story/book...having just read the back cover and the first page or so, I didn't think he was traveling with his wife, thought it was just him and the boy. Doesn't matter to me, the film looks great imo!

Haven't read the book yet...still on my Erikson books/epic (now on book 4 "House of Chains")...still in awe with this series

The latest trailer looks amazing and powerful! Viggo Mortensen is amazing, as always (imo)

The way writer imagined what it would be like. The constant fear of being captured by some men (animals) and tortured and eaten, etc. What makes it bad, if you can't look past it like I do, is bad grammar

It's funny the premise is what you liked, as that was the least imaginative element of it; it was a standard-fare post-apocolyptic future.

What do you mean? I didn't refer to the ash, and the scenery. But the social degradation.
