In Vista, the directory structures are a bit different. Could someone explain where/how to get a custom map running in IT with Vista? I'm having a devil of a time trying to figure this out.

I have the same question as Mombul. I downloaded the items map, equipped my custom character per instructions. But that is where I am stuck.

In the instructions it says to run the Defiler but
There are so many Defiler versions I don't even know which one to download
Then downloading one of those it gives me either error messages or downloading another it warns me to make backup and then tells me it will change my whole system and that is scary

Even if I eventually get the Defiler uploaded, which I am now scared to do, if I read the 'read me' file and all the thousands of instructions, none of which seem to address the change of custom char to gaming char, the mind boggles

I guess I need to give up on getting that special item I wanted and just carry on farming which I am now really sick of because I never get the item, in fact playing till level 55 with my char all I ever got was two purple items, warrior stuff and I am a mage.....

Okay, I give up. You can't beat TQIT on Legendary unless you go online or cheat. My dial-up connection eliminates the first possibility.

Since I have gone to a lot of trouble saving every single relic or charm I get (I creat extra characters to store them) I want to download the mod that lets you add charms to legendary equipment.

Any shortcuts or easy explanations?

Bad luck, mjspear. You can unfortunately run only 1 at a time. If there's no version with 2 mods mixed as 1, you can't use them together on the custom quest.

For example, there's a version of XmaX mod with Masteries which is mixed. So you can play those 2 together. But other things you have only separated.

Ahh I see. Well basically I'm running the x3 monster mod to help out a bit with leveling up. I know that it doesn't necessarily work with all quests though so I was hoping to be able to turn it on/off at will. Is something like that even possible with just 1 mod installed though?

When you're stuck in a quest with the x3 mod, just run the normal game with your character (don't run the mod in the custom quest), do the quest and then continue with the x3 mod. It works well afaik.

I've tried installing the masteries mod but I don't understand how to carry out the instructions (never used a mod before). What I did was just drag the masteries icon into the custommaps folder.

When I start a custom quest game, create a character then start masteries it takes me back to the screen where my original saved characters are. If I create a character again I can then play that one as a mastery character. Is this normal? Can I just carry on playing Mastery or original characters (so I long as exit game before changing) without any problems like this or should I be trying to install the mod in the correct way?
