I downloaded it with no troubles about 2 months back or so (i think. so easy to lose track of time during summer). this seems...very strange indeed. what version of WinRAR did you download?

I try to extract the files, then that message comes up. Also with the patch, I install it, and nothing happens.

are you working on a PC? if so, are you running Windows Vista or XP?

ok, one POTENTIAL source of the problem is that WinRAR 3.71 was, and i quote "designed for a 32-bit OS". meaning, if you have a 64-bit version of Vista (and i honestly hope you do since 32-bit Vista really has no point), this could be the source of the problem.

i myself run windows XP currently, which is why it works for me since XP is a 32-bit operating system.


EDIT: it says on the site that 3.70 should be vista compatible. if that doesn't work, i'll help you search more in the morning.

I think I'll just head to bed. For a couple of hours I've been trying to figure out several mods and the patch and only Shop MI has worked.

Turns out that the message said to insert a volume with part 2 on it. This could be trouble. For tomorrow, that is.

I have trying it a bit last night in Multiplayer, but the guy I joint in the net use a XP modifier and the mod look unbalanced until he tell me that.

Should give another try really soon ! I've love the fisrt Surviving and got high hope on this one too !!

It seems to work now. Now for even bigger issues. The entire game has just decided to extremely lag, so I can't play.
