Default teleport tex. question for enumaelish world map..

I've started on the teleport making now for my custom map. Using this very good guide...
http://titanquestvault.ign.com/View....s.Detail&id=23

I've made a test world map using arc explorer/texture viewer/gimp and I've got it now reading as an asset tex. in progress. I cant build directly on the tex. as the art manager crashes everytime. So maybe it's impossible, and makes me wonder how other people manage to do it.. How do I know if it's gone into the texture listing when I'm trying to find it to change the tex. of my world map. I know the stages, and can see the list of textures, but there are thousands of them. how do I find it, if it's there. This also happened when I was trying to make a maenad skin for my mod. If anyone out there has the time to explain these problems it would be a help to get anything done in these matters, as it's going to take a bone-head like me a week or more to try and get it all right, if at all.
I can jump into the teleport now, and it shows the standard greece map, and no destinations.. that's as far as I've got.

I've got my first portal showing now as 'Portae Baalbek', on the first coloured square of the editor's toggle view of all the regions.. But I can't get any zones to show up in the ''add to zone' window. I thought this might be because the tutorial was saying that the helos region had a map value of 0, but then I found that the zones have values starting at 1, so I changed my first button to an egypt button etc.
Still no luck. I click on the map that I have my teleport at, and click the add to zone, that's what's got me stumped... It might work if I can get some zones into this window...

Update..
I've got just two coloured squares now showing in the editors toggle view zone as Baalbek and Babylon, so the text string works ok.. I've set all the zones as best I can to try and get something to work.. still cant get any zones to show up. This is more important to try and sort out, than the tex, as I've got a standard map showing which will do (world map 04), and Babylon showing as the map title. Just cant get anything into the add zone window.

I, too, would like to know what's up with zones... Even the world01.map decompiled never shows anything in the add zone window.

The tutorial, although very good in the details, needs updating.. it dosn't mention that you need to copy your custom map folder down into your TQ Immortal Throne program folder every time, because the editor is looking for stuff in the program files.. I think the tutorial is using the old TQ toolset, which is confusing for me, as I need to follow basic monkey see - monkey do instructions to get it to work... I had to give up with it last night... nearly there though I think...

I had the same problem with the 'add to zone' function. I've fixed it with a few tries and I've updated the procedure on the TQ Mod wiki:

go to the Step 7 - World Editor - The Zone view

I've recently used this procedure to update my teleporters and the world map for Tormentress and it works perfectly.
The TQIT editor seems to use the *.dbr found in the basic database.arz for a part of its functions (unlike the new items and creatures/npc/etc). It sometimes appears to be quite 'paranormal' so we surely need to link our minds together

I hope it will solve your problem.

I have made some progress, but i am now about to give up, as I cant do it. The 'add to zone' trick worked. But I cant get more than one zone on one teleport map in the game. And it's doing things that I don't understand. I've created one bar-button on the top and called it Baalbek, and there's nothing on that map, then there's another map as 'orient', and that shows my zone Babylon. as an eye-button. It's so confusing.

How did you manage to get your custom world maps into the art manager database? i.e you use a ''...'' on the teleport world map to get into the tex files, I've asked a similar question over on the skins forum.. as it's totally perplexing to me..
I can understand how to do it, but the art manager crashes when I try to build on the tex. in the assets window, and that's the only way I can think of that might get the tex into the tex. lists.
