The regular merchant in Helos has all the bottles of the original skin. This happens if you load AllSkins, go to Helos, the only merchant, and search for the normal skins. You'll get the original ones there.


Beta is on advanced phase, by the way. Should be ready until the end of next week, with help of fathersquid and Alsafysh
The last beta will be made public so that anyone can complain or suggest something before the release is done (of version 0.8c).

Version 0.8 RC2 (not final) is ready for download on the first post of this thread, which was updated accordingly. I would appreciate that some of you downloaded it and give some reports.

This is not a beta release, full of bugs, waiting for a lot of development. It's the very last version before the final release. Intense testing has been done until now. All that is needed is that some of you verify it to see if there's anything yet missing.

Well let me just say that this is Bad***! And i have loved and used your mod since I started, and am oh so excited about 0.8!

There is only one thing I noted while playing with 0.8, and I don't know if this is considered a bug(i doubt) or what, but thought I should mention it.

Mind you I do not have fanpatch and neither does anyone I play with.
While I play with 0.8, and my com padres have 0.7 still, I will see them with different skins then they actually have on. I assumed this was from some name changing and file placement differences. Also, the way they see me tends to be random between blue/yellow checkerboard, normal skin, and the skin i'm actually using. Even though I am using a skin that is on both mods. Once again I figured this was something with naming conventions.

I actually tested this stuff and verified the following:
  • I took off everything that was 0.7 related (all skins) from that ...\database\creatures\pc directory
  • I then tried to run 0.7, using 0.7 bottles, but only with the 0.8 Creatures.arc
  • Result: 0.7 works fine, even without any skin on that directory, meaning it is truly compatible with 0.8

Now, the problem with LAN/Internet games is the following:

If you with 0.8 mod active host a game and 0.7 people get in, it seems that they follow what your host is telling them to do. Since your system has the creatures.arc file in the Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Resources directory, their system tries to fetch the skins there too and fails.

If they with 0.7 mod active host a game and you get in, then your system thinks that it should search for the skins on the ..\database\creatures\pc directory (like 0.7 works) and then it fails, because your skins are on the creatures.arc file.

Solution: either they install separately the creatures.arc file on the Titan Quest Immortal Throne\Resources directory (and then even on 0.7 they would see your skins that are also on 0.7) or they install 0.8.

For you, if they host the game: you would have to put back 0.7 skins on the original ..\database\creatures\pc directory (as is normal on 0.7).

So, the mod versions are compatible for single player, but for multiplayer
they don't work unless some tricks are applied.

I have another issue. I can't get the adult vendor amulets (after putting in the code) to show up as anything other then bronze rings in the skirtless mod. I've tried on multiple characters and have also tried making a new one, but it won't work.
adult vendor amulets are fine on normal mod.

i see that you have found an issue like this "A real bug was found: The female adult seller is missing on the Skirtless mod." but i didn't know if it was the same thing, since she's not really missing, just impossible to summon

Yes, it's the same thing and it's solved already for the final release

Version 0.8c RC3 was released and is on the first post of this thread. This version shouldn't actually be necessary if any of the hundreds(!?!) of lurkers of this thread would step out and make a simple test on the mod.

Without having anyone to help testing other than Alsafysh and Fathersquid (thank you both), it can take a long time for me to find any issues on the mod (if there are any still).

I'll ask again: if any of you lurkers could step out and download the RC3, you'd make a favor for me and to yourself - because the general release of the mod would be much faster out. Thanks in advance for your help.

Like the OP:

1) Could you install well the AllSkins mod package? If not, what was your difficulty?
2) Did you understand well the difference between the 3 different mods and how to use them?
3) Is there any other thing that could increase the ease-of-use of the mod that you can think of?
4) Did you find any error on the mod that is not listed below in "Known Issues of AllSkins version 0.8c" below?


On 4), to be more specific:

Is there bottles without tags that you have seen, or weird graphics, or bottles that produce blue/yellow (without skin) character, etc?

Don't be so sure about that. I for one will be very happy using the new allskins, but at the moment I don't have the time to hunt bugs. I don't even have the time to play TQ, it will have to wait a few weeks until I got some important work done.
