By the time you master this skill, you won't have enough on the mastery-skill alone to use all your skills in vampirism (as some have like 10 active health cost per second). But you will have enough to get by while you find items.
Vampire Mastery is used to compliment the other Masteries in my opinion. The high energy bonus makes it ideal for a Mastery like sorcerery. It's not the Mastery you should start with, that is for sure, but as you get higher on in the various trees, the energy costs will grow, and you'll be happy to have that energy. If you take it as a secondary Mastery, you'll have time to find the items or skills from other trees that grant increases in Health regeneration. Aside from that, there are a few skills in vampire that increase your health as you use them. To increase Health regen makes no sense in the vampire tree. Vampires waste away, not gain the ability to regenerate.

Tried out the Mystic mastery this morning. Very cool Cleric/Paladin-esque class. I do have a question though. Skills like Exorcism & Cleric Shield can be used without the corresponding Aura on. Is this intentional? If so, why are they shown as connected on the mastery screen?

Hi,

It is intentional, we wanted to have the feeling of "ways to go", even though the skills are not dependant...it is made this way for all WAY SKILLS...as you can see...

OK, that is pretty good.

I have a question. Do the abilities of Way of Battlefield and its mod White Flame even work?

I don't get the burning animation nor the ice animation, even though White Flame is on.

Of course they work. Both. You gotta wait a second for the effect to appear. Dunno why is that, but it appears after one second. And I am certain! And the stats are immediate.

I thought something like that wouldn't slip through. Too bad the extra damage doesn't show on the DPS sign. :/

However, the hitpoint decrease of the burning damage should be instant, everything else doesn't make that much sense.

Btw, I'm really glad that it's really worth investing a second point into a power.

However, I do believe that most powers still need tweaking till they are balanced.

I really like Mysticysm btw.

Has good spells and still owns in melee.

If you put some points into the White Flame and turn it on, it increases the dmg and also your stats...Your DMG and DPS will be higher!

What makes you think that battlefield and whiteflame don't work? if you try to kill a monster without the whiteflame and then with whiteflame turned on you certainly will kill faster! ah, i.n.s.a.n.e, you were quicker!

The effect for whiteflame is intentionally just on the sword-hand. This skill is inspired by sword-descriptions found in the work of Tokien. The very holy swords sometimes appear as though they were burning with a white light. I tried to create that aura rather than "just" a hot or cold weapon... hehe. Unfortunatly the flames that go along the swords blade need to be coded into the item itself, which wouldnt be part of a skill.

Why stuff doesnt show in the DPS-stats has always been a miracle. This is not connected to the new skills.

To be honest, there are quite a few skills where the mechanics work but don't show in the stats precisly. Changing the way the stats are logged and put onto the hud would be yet another mod. Or should probably have been patched by IL. But we will have to live with it, i guess

I personally don't think that the vampire Ways' health reduction need augmenting. There are currently WAY too many potions being dropped in the game. Plus, I've used the Defiler to level my char just to see what awaits me ahead (then deleted it), a high level vampire with the right skill is constantly triggering blood-sucking abilities (I think); and then you have the bat with the blood-donating skill, and the life leech spell.

All in all, the Way's draining of your life is a lot less significant than what the monsters will deal to you and ultimately that draining won't effect you much but be only a minor annoyance.

And then if you play an Immortal, you're truly immortal. With the right combinations you can regen your health -and- mana yourself.
