Bugs and fixes for unofficial patch

Y'all have done a wonderful job on the patches. I forgot to backup my characters and vault last weekend when I did my yearly reformat and that's ok, as I've been really enjoying the fixes and additions brought on from 1.10 through 1.12 with a fresh character. Drops have been pretty nice to me and the mobs are tough, but refreshing as well since in the vanilla IT, I only had to try out tactics with the Machae archers, cyclops and Typhon. Everything else was a cakewalk in Normal. Now, strategy kicks in pretty darn quickly and keeps me on my toes. That's a good thing so the game keeps changing, keeps fresh and keeps challenging. So mega-kudos to the team!

On an aside, I look forward to the inclusion of the camera mod. Granted, now that I know what to do thanks to Deighvyd's Camera Mod instructions and his support in the same thread, it's a fairly straightforward task to make the modifications after each patch cycle, as I keep my pre-CamMod database backed up for ease of restoration. Being on an old 17" CRT, my best Res vs Hz is 1024x768 @ 85Hz, so that camera mod is pretty essential unless I get in the mood for being ambushed. Which happens quite a bit using the regular game camera settings.

Hey guys!

My first post here, but have been looking those forums for some time. Have the game for a few weeks and really enjoying it, and I'd like to install this patch since it looks really great. The problem is that I don't have the english version, but the french version of the game. So when I try to install the patch I get that message:

"Software Not Found
Titan Quest - Immortal Throne could not be located on your system."

So I'd like to know:

1) Is this patch compatible with foreign versions of the game?
2) If yes to 1), do you know any easy fix for my problem? Maybe changing someting in the Windows Registry (running XP) or something else.

I know there is a french patch kinda like this (found it on titanquest-fr.com), but it's unsupported (last version is 4 months old) and there are still unfixed bugs. So I'd like to install this patch.

The problem is most likely caused by the English language file being missing. This patch modifies it, so I guess you need it. AFAIK there is a patch around that adds English language support. Try installing that and using this patch afterwards.

hi. just installed the patch, havent tried it yet but i have a little request already. tq music is very nice, pity its being played so rarely. can you increase ambient music frequency slightly?

i suppose i could as long as no one else has any objections

luedtke6788 you could make it a separate patch I think, as theres a music.arc file.

the music.arc only holds the songs themselves the controls on how often there played and where there played are in the DB.

I'll just make a mod for now. and if its liked i'll add it to the patch

Thanks for helping me. I did what you told me but it still doesn't work. The good thing is I can now have the english texts in the game, which is much better than the french texts (many bugs and wierd item names). Maybe I need other english resources? Still have the exact same error message.
