I took that in to account, I only used the French patches that where not fixed by any of the patches here
hopefully in the future i wont have to use any of them

Edit: In light of a few problems with the first release i have started to recheck all the fixes to make sure I put them in right so i will be releasing a new one in a few min, just waiting on it to build right now, I checked and rechecked Sylvan Nymph and Ravage of Time, so hopefully its all good this time.

Well, I got little time today anymore, but I'll let you know once I've tested it. Mind you, maybe I messed up too (though I wonder how I could mess up running the installer)

ok again you will need original files of the database and quests.arc

Removed

Edit: I think i found the problem the software i was using to create the installer wasn't working correctly i reinstalled and now the file size is much bigger hopefully that was it i'm going to test to make sure. I reuploaded the file above for anyone else that wants to test it.

hmm.... this is weird, maby i'm just not understanding something here but I just made 3 files using the same data in artmanager but all 3 files are different sizes only varying by 2 to 14 bytes.
is this just the compression algorithm making it vary or is mine messed up in some way?

The Sylvan Nymph still doesn't level up correctly and the whole 'deathchillaurabuff.dbr' that Ganelon mentioned is missing. I think something goes wrong with the installers, as they don't seem to change much thus far.
At least not on my computer. Maybe it'd be good to hear how it works on somebody elses.

Also, when installing, it only mentions that database.arz has been succesfully updated, while some of the fixes are located out of the database.arz, e.g. 'Ravages of Time' and the Nymphfix are fixed both outside the database.arz

In fact ,all the skills for those pets buged.

Simply build a Thane,wield a sword with the prefixname "Freezing".
then summon a wisp ,you can see that your DPS increased while the wisp`s skill Eye of the Storm reach a higher level

Just throwing something up here: Since pets don't use skills above their maxlevel, isn't it an idea to max the maxlevel? Give all petskills 4 additional levels, so that the pets really use those skills.. I know it's not really a clean fix, but probably better than what it is now. I also have no idea if it's realizable.

To make it clear that raising the petskills above the new levels is of no use, simply give the same stats for the higher levels and perhaps add a warning in the skilldescription. Ofcourse it'd be added in the fix notes.

You can set he Max Level and the Ultimate Level independently. I_Raps suggests that we can just set BOTH of these to 20. It works, in that the pets will actually use the enhanced skill levels, both has the side effect of allowing the player the access skill elves that shouldn't be reachable without +Skill effects. I_Raps is not very enthusiastic about this solution, but it is probably better than leaving things as they are. Maybe we'll find a "true" fix, but this looks like an engine problem.

Right now, this renders my Nymph damage fix worthless .

Other issues:

I discovered that Nature's Wrath is missing an entry for maximum damage at level 16. The minimum damage keeps increasing at this level, so this is probably an accident. This is easy to fix, but won't actually affect anything until the pet skill bug is dealt with.

While most of these are simply bad decisions (and therefore outside the scope of this project), some of these are legitimate bugs.

Shield of Apis of the Bull grants 50% chance of 1% Stun Resistance (Almost certainly intended to have been 100% instead of 1%).

Bows can spawn with a +OA effect, which has no effect on missile attacks. The loot tables can be altered so that this never happens with random affixes, but it's not clear what should be done about unique bows that have this power built in:

Some melee weapons have a +projectile speed bonus. People seem to be divided over whether or not this improves the speed of skill-based projectiles (eg ensnare, throwing knives, etc). This needs testing.

From what I understood the bug only affects the skills that are used by pets, not the pets themselves. So it should still apply. Unless I understood wrong ofcourse.

Well, it's really to difficult to infer wether this is because of bad design or mistakes. Since we cannot be sure, I suggest we apply those differences in a balance patch. That thread maybe very useful for a balancing patch.

ok i decided to take a brake for a min and let you guys know whats going on i've been up all night working on and learning a bit more about how IT works and the setup of there database and so on.

so first thing my installer doesn't work because: IT simply doesn't like data being injected in to there files---> like my installer does even know in theory you should have exactly the same file in the end. witch is probably y the french use such a barbaric way of installing there patches.

so I just need to find a different installing program, i'm going to try out nullsoft's free installer and see if that works right. other wise if anyone else knows of any good free installers out there let me know i'd rather not buy a new installer program just for one project when it works fine for all my other projects.

ok i've tested it and everything seems to be working now.

installer is no longer messing everything up nullsoft rocks!!

Edit: updated patch to v1.05
now auto finds install path (now you can just go click happy on that next button )
now you can chose weather to install the relic patch (recommended for you guys rockin IT on high graphics)
