The damage absorption portion of Battle Standard doesn't work. It doesn't give you DA, and it doesn't even give the Battle Standard itself DA. You can easily test this by setting the DA value to 100%.
It's very disappointing news!

Just quickly read your other topic "workaround" and in my testing protocole with Triumph I saw that "show all damage" mod doesn't show DA.
I thought at that time that the DA of BS was working because my life was reduced of 80 HP when "show all damage" reads a hit of 110 on screen (like a normal hit for this mob).
More testing upcoming...

EDIT: For the summoning level problem, I already noticed a while ago that the game don't read the good values of a pet if you are wearing +X all skills, is it possibly linked?
In that case I go to a Mystic to buy back a point, then cancel it, and after that the pet skill is at the right level.

And finally I don't think as you that BS is useless, its efficiency is proved in combat, in Lilith that was day and night using it.

I don't think that Battle Standard has ever given us DA.
DA - Defensive Ability? Battle Standard was never meant to give any DA. Surprise, surprise.

2all: This guy, Ganelon, is strange. Take what he says with a grain of salt.

ShadowLich mentioned in the other thread that the Show All Damage Mod doesn't correct its numbers for Damage Absorption. I didn't know about this. I correct myself in the other thread.[/quote]

Fair enough, although I'd say "inexperienced" more than "strange." I only starting playing with the toolset and Defiler a week ago. This is why I'm offering up my experiments to public scrutiny.

Well, it's ok, just put it in less intense way.
"I made a new and very disappointing discovery. The damage absorption portion of Battle Standard doesn't work." ... I mean, not so fast. Game has bugs for sure, but usually bugs of such scale are already known.

And ShowDamage is not a tool to make judgements about how the game actually work. Try this one:
http://rapidshare.com/files/63468459...lGood.rar.html
It enables internal debug log, which developers used for testing.

Nice tool, but "Virus" detected.

What AV software you using?

There are three execs in archive:
http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/b...b0c9626d5bf10c
http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/2...04240f40b71267
http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/0...6a1c12c62963bd

None of them reported as virus, though some trigger suspicious/heuristic flag due to nature of tool as it hooks up to TQ exe.

Thx for the info.

I have AntiVir.

Suspicious code found in file "plugin.dll", HEUR/Malware.

Will have to deactivate AntiVirGuard, when using this tool, else it would delete this file.

I'm pretty sure it's safe, I'm using it for a half-year.
