I'm playing normal difficulty with the extra boss beta05. I encounter Welamas in The Dark Way. He's level 12 and I'm using untwinked gear but I have a decent bow. This is the first mob I encountered where his regen is faster than the damage I do. What's up with that?

"EB" need really very good items (from vault)
MHEB & MIEB are the ultimate difficulties but with a very good toon (understand good player + good items) you can play with any Class and until the end of Legendary ! I'm telling this point to reassure players with doubts about "EB" ![]() Good game

Anyway if this Boss is too rough for you at this time, just avoid him and come back later. No problemo with that ![]() About EB DC, you can use the classical DC at any time, come back to the EB DC later if you like. There are two DC because EB DC come later for hardcore gamer but both can be used as you like at anytime indifferently. No need to reinstall Lilith

I am confused by this response. How did I end up with "Extra Bosses" difficultly? I installed the mod (great mod btw), I selected the original difficultly at the drop down select while installing, I made a character and when into normal, epic, and legendary games (following the advice to save your stuff for later). And then I started playing on normal. I was having a good time until I ran into this guy. This guy is just murder. So fast and hits so hard.
Anyway if I accidently selected something hard how do I unselect it? |

Successfully bypassed but only because of luck. He blocks the next floor and I ran past him into the next floor and luckily ran straight to a tunnel into daylight just before which he leashed. It was storybook. I then proceeded to leash him until he died. But, I probably would have died and not known what to do if I had ran north toward the named bat in that floor instead of southeast and out into highlands.
If I was going to advise anyone else I would say instead of running past it run it toward the entrance you cleared (this may take a couple tries). Eventually it will leash and then should be "trival" to kill by exploiting the leash. It is a big leash range though. Last edited by Qutsemnie; 01-04-2010 at 10:36 PM. |
