It's not going to be several small patches; it would be still one big patch, but to keep things organized, each different aspect of the game would be contained in subsections. Once everything is ready and discussed, everything would be wrapped up and put into one big patch.
I'd also want to moderate there and let the experienced people do the actual work

Didn't think of the timeline setup yet, but that's probably a good idea. Ofcourse it'll only start when the fixpatch is ready.

Yeah, but its nice to get this organisation crap outta the way. I hope this goes as good as the bugfix patch is going. I don't know if we'd actually be able to get Mod status but we can still moderate and organise the sticky posts ourselves.

I want a balance patch IF everyone has a say in what gets balanced and by what values...

That's the intention. That also means a lot of discussion (and probably) disagreement, but it's the only fair way.

I voted for "no", mainly because of the diffficulties to agree about the balancing. But if, I would highly recomend not to mix it up with the bugfix-patch (that is, to provide the bugfix re-balanced and originally-balanced), so each party may decide if they like the balancing or not.

Well, I'm not sure, but I think the bugfix patch will be called unofficial patch 1.2x and onwards, whereas the balance patch will be called unofficial patch 1.3x and onward. To play the balance patch would require the bugfix patch, but not vice versa.

At any rate, the balance patch should not be necessary for those who only want the bugfix patch.

I personally don't want a balancing patch. I don't PvP, there seems to be almost none of that, so balancing doesn't really seem that important. Then you'd have people asking for build advice who aren't using the patch and then someone who is gives advice...you see where I'm going with this.

-raises hand- I'd complain. :B I like surprises, I avoid spoilers like the plague...and I've still known from the first day I've joined these forums I was gonna have to kill a major baddie named Typhon at some point (why mention it if I hate them? You can't miss this fact).

What I'd like to see is for people to actually respect the spoiler rules and only mention specific bosses and plot points in the spoilers section, making it no longer so obsolete -- ie, when you're critiquing a build in the different masteries sections, don't blab so much about which particular boss will kick a toon's bum. Be more general. IE, "You'll run into a difficult boss later that you'll have a hard time killing if you don't have some way to slow it down, blah blah blah."

..and that was kinda off-topic. Anyhow, I'm one of the "no" votes on there. Bug fixes yes. Balance no.

lol, what we should is modify the swear word screener to add typhon/hades/etc, etc. Be funny when someone tries to say something like: 'You can get that item from ******' LOL.

But would be a good idea, no spoilers in the gameplay, but then again its hard to to talk about gameplay without mentioning anything about the game.

LOL! Genius.

On a serious note, I agree, gameplay is tough to talk about and still censor yourself. I saw a couple of times people had posted things in a font colour you had to highlight to read...if people would actually do that, then even sticklers like me could agree to those two subforums could probably be combined. ^^
