A way to create artifacts outside of the game?

To make a long story short, IT crashes every time I try to create an artifact. Is there a program that will join the items I need to create an artifact so I can then import the newly created artifact into my inventory?

are you using the TQdefiler mod to make ingredient-less artifacts when you make them, or...?

Thanks Gene. That's exactly what I'm looking for. I am running TQ Defiler too. I did a search on crash and artifact but somehow missed that thread.
