The ones you didn't like had the best effects really. Warfare has onslaught and thats a love it or hate it effect really. Defense really has no effects I can think of that are worth a damn. Rogue has kinda of a limited selection also if you're going by buff effects solely.

Defence has colossus form that's a good effect. Also shield charge is sexy.

Well by the looks of it you're a born melee player who likes to occassionally cast magic. I am exactly the same. Here I'd say hybrid classes are your best matches. Just pick one of Warfare, Defence, Rogue and Hunting and for another mastery one of Dream, Earth, Storm, Spirit and Nature. I wouldn't advise nature though as it is very very boring due to almost no offensive skills.

I am not an expert on hunting or rogue, but warfare and defence are very fun masteries with good crowd controlling moves and their hybrid classes are pretty fun. Juggernaut (Defence + Earth) is a very fun class, Harbinger (Warfare + Dream) & Templar (Defence + Dream) are also very powerful classes that are simply difficult to screw up, Battlemage (Warfare + Earth) is a very offensive but lacks in defence so watch out for your armor rating, defensive ability, defensive skills and resistances, and of course Spellbreaker (warfare + spirit) and Spellbinder (defence + spirit; even though I haven't tried the spellbinder but it will be very similar to spellbreaker).

Oh and if you like axes and maces then I would not advise Hunting and Rogue masteries, because those rely on piercing damage mostly and therefore the weapons that go well with them are swords, spears and bows.

thanks for overview matseb..
just few questions.. - storm best attack - lightning bolt + chain looks very weak only about 400dmg.. + big recharge..+ storm nimbus is weak also..
spirit - i dont trust that lich would do big dmg? or is it possible without eforts to make him with strong attack ? - sad he shots only 1 blast at the time..

i think i could choose dream+defence or dream+warfare.. but im never tried anything like that before...
i also enjoy much life to get..
i already know what i would be looking for..
* attack speed very high...+ items with converts my attacks dmg into life..
i also enjoy runing speed..

can you make some strongs points - the difference between picking defence and warfare - and the similarities? thanks..

Pets get better with each difficulty so Lich King will have better survival past normal difficulty. Plus he learns a new attack that is pretty good after you input a certain number of points into him (I think it's 5 but not sure).

I am not a big Storm fan also, but Squal with synergy gets praised a lot because it lowers enemy resistances and also causes 100% chance of impaired aim for them when maxed. I personally love ice shards with velocity and torrent. It's like using an ice machine gun.

OK. It really depends on your build.
Defence
Defence has both very defensive and very offensive skills. The whole left side of Defence are the defensive skills such as Adrenaline that has a chance of activation upon taking damage that makes you heal faster and with last synergy do more damage; Rally (don't know much about it) and Battle Awareness that adds some DA (defensive ability), extra armor and also has very useful synergies for survival.

Armor handling is also a good skill due to reduction in strength requirement for armor, meaning you can equip better armor earlier, and also by providing extra armor absorption.
Then we have the offensive skills in defence mastery. Those are Batter (with Rend armor it can hit up to 3 enemies at a time and therefore good for crowd control & also lowers their armor a bit; batter has a very good cooldown), Shield charge (good for getting close to long-ranged units and stunning them), and all the passive shield procs (the 3 passive skills above Armor handling; all are good because they activate automatically and if you have all 3 maxed then pretty much every 3rd hit you do is a shield hit and shield does more damage than a weapon).
Colossus form is a bit of both as it makes you more damage resistant and also to deal more damage, but it lasts for a very little time and has an ***-long of a cooldown.

Warfare
Warfare has a lot of amazing offensive skills. Dual wield is an impressive damage dealing tree, but you lose out on defence if you have it. However most people say that any warfare class except for conqueror (warfare + defence) should dual wield.
Onslaught - perhaps the best primary attack skill. It deals extra damage with each new hit up to a maximum (depends how many points you have in it), and with synergies it gives you resistances to physical and piercing damages, good debuff against enemies and also attack speed).
Weapon training also gives you attack speed and very good bonus to offensive ability (OA).
Hence warfare characters almost always tend to have good attack speeds.
Then we have other skills in warfare.
Battle Standard - awesome for boss battles and big mobs of enemies.
War horn - Stuns enemies which you can use as a panic button skill or as a skill that you activate as soon as you enter combat to be one step ahead of enemies.
War Wind - similar to shield charge, but not as good really. Instead of disabling one enemy it just spreads your damage to 3 enemies. If you plan to use it then max it.
Ancestral warriors - time limited summon. They are not that powerful, just good for distraction.

Adrenaline, the top level, has + %damage up to 73%. While Rally, the top level, does damage retaliation up to about 65% plus elemental resistance. The first level of Rally allow instant rejuvenation (I think up to about 2.5K HP). Adrenaline activates by system, while Rally activates by user. Equipt yourself with the Lion Heart (50% damage, 50% Total Speed). ***I'm drooling***

Bosses stand no chance to Defender: Quick Recovery>Rally>Colossus
and when Adrenaline + Lion Heart kick in simultaneously at the same time....damn! ***I'm still drooling*** hehehehhe

The only thing that puts me off rally is that its ****y 10 second duration. I mean if it was a passive skill then I would understand, but with short-lived active skills I MUST remember to activate them every time and I obviously can't do that because I get carried away with the fun of the game. Same applies to Quick recovery.

Rally is not 10 seconds. Max lvl is 12, at 11 it is 16 seconds. Its total is 16 plus the bonus points. It's probably around 25-30 seconds total (assumption).

Adrenaline is 12 seconds at lvl 4; its max lvl is 12 (16 if plus bonus). It's probably around 25-30 seconds total (assumption).

QuickRecovery is 25 seconds at lvl 4; its max lvl is 8 (12 if plus bonus).

So time increases as you add point to them.

Quick Recov and Rally; I don't really use them for regular mobs. I only use them on tough hero bosses and the bosses. The only other time I use Rally is when I'm desparately need HP -- so quick rejuvenate there.
