Acts 1 through 3 are really fun. Those acts make me love Titan Quest in the first place, however, once I hit act 5, I get so bored. I literally, hear this, I literally fell asleep playing act 5. I'm not exagerating either. After beating Act 4 on normal I was only slightly annoyed. However, during mid act 4 on epic, I put my head down on my desk and rested for like 15 minutes. I had my mp3 earbuds in, and I woke up to find that it went through 5 or 6 songs that I didnt hear while my eyes were closed. I even play on co-op with another friend, and even he wants to rush the act so we can play legendary acts 1 - 3. However, this tactic wont work because of the reason its boring in the first place.
1. We barely get any experience points 2. The enemies are really difficult for some odd reason 3. They seem to have a LOT more hp 4. One of the green glowing levels makes us both lag like crazy 5. Neither of us can tank effectivley, but even so, whats the point of trying to deal dmg if number's 1, 2, and 3 exist? Our only solution so far? To go level up by killing wild boars for 2 exp each(southpark warcraft joke) then get to level 75 so we can beat Act 4 epic fast enough not to fall asleep. Sorry for the rant, I like the features in Immortal Throne, but dang. I have never played a game where 1 part is so imporptionally boring to another. ![]() Last edited by JooK : 12-05-2007 at 11:42 PM. Reason: Theres no act 5 aparantly :p |

I think the expansion act is focus mainly on resistance, primary and secondary; and DA. You can even get killed by those crabs easily if you don't have enough pierce resistance. If you are an offensive player and mainly focus on offense, you will feel that the expansion act monsters are strong. If you are a defensive player and mainly focus on resistances and DA, you will feel that the expansion act monsters are not that strong. Also, the monsters in the expansion level are more smarter -- they move and they run...
I used to say WTF about the monsters in the Ixian wood...why are they so strong. |

I really don't like A4 either, the areas are far too big, the enemies are annoying and the bosses are bland, with the exception of Charon.

The first time I've ever played through act 4 I was frustrated by absolutely huge and overwhelming open areas. However when I played through it 2nd time, 3rd, 4th and so on I began to really love it. Reasons: It has areas that are more beautiful than first 3 acts, it has a more interesting and darker story, it has absolutely amazing music scores, and npcs there actually talk and have more personality than in first 3 acts.
I'd say act 4 is my favourite, but act 1 is not too far behind. Yes it's annoying how strong the enmies are, but it is a final act for a reason. I do agree though that the Medea's Grove - Tsakonian Ruins bit is very boring. But once you get to Epirus it all gets very fun.

Way to get through Act 4 really fast? Just Take off some of your normal gear, sacrifice some stats in order to bulk up on resistances. You max out enough of them you take little damage and can have fun just slaughtering. Get to next difficulty, then just switch back to good kit.
