Default What's the point of having %% projectile speed in spear?

Anyway it's just my tantrum

As the topic say, what's the point? The item in questioned is Huntsman's Barb. It is a spear and it has +45% (approx.) projectile speed. Once you equipped the item, you don't have anything projectile....it's amazing on some attributes.

Unless at one point the developers were thinking about having the feature "throwing spear" much like the D2. This feature was awesome in D2. I like the effect of trailing poison mist, fire, lighting, and ice... while throwing the spear!

+% Projectile Speed works for projectile-spells to, like Ensnare, Volcanic Orb, Ice Shard and Poison Gas Bomb...

Yeah, not muh point in there.

Or OA on a epic bow, can't remember the name.

slightly derailing the useless stuff. Vest of the wandering goat reads
20% Chance of 4% Reduced Confusion Duration (Pet/Trap Only).. it is just pure stupid.. A minimal percentage of confusion reduction. But only for pets... Hurray?

I've also seen plenty of staffs with +% attack speed. Surely they should have +% casting speed. No?

Casting speed is for spells, attack speed for staff attacks.

Unless you mean that staves should also have cating speed.

It would make alot more sense if Staffs had casting speed. I never thought of that before.

I think the reason staves don't have 'casting speed' is because staves are self-contain spell/magic and therefore 'attack speed' is appropriate. 'Casting speed' is only appropriate when generate spell/magic from your own energy.
