Dactyls what?!

I've read a couple of posts either complaining or praising Dactyls, either due to their difficulty or their good drops. Now I've farmed Hades for a while and encountered my fair share of Dactyls but as opposed to what I've read, they have been relatively easy and haven't dropped a thing, apart from a bunch broken items. Have people been exaggerating or is my guardian just well fit to fight them? Or were the nerfed few patches ago? What do they drop? Some nice MIs? Hades proved to be a much harder opponent.

First...if they are normal or even epic ones they are not that bad....I successfully defeated those kung fu style with my punching elementalist. But I have yet to face legendary ones which are reported to be a pain in the butt.

Aight.. I've only faced the epic ones, no idea about legendary or normal. I guess I'll find out about the legendary ones sometime soon.

needless to say dactyls and ranged bow characters definitely have issues
at least they are fairly infrequent

Well Dactyls on normal I find just hard, but on epic and legendary I find them very hard. Don't know, maybe just my battlemage was weak when he faced them on epic. I have 2 more characters getting there soon enough.

Personally I find Hades to be easier than Dactyls and definitely easier than Night's mistress and perhaps even easier than his 3 generals.

And yeah Dactyls do give awesome drops. I haven't faced so many of them yet in my entire experience of TQ, but I already got from them a Vengeance shield and also Alcyoneus' mask. Both are gigantes monster infrequents.

Don't underestimate that bad *** Dactyl,he is so nasty especially in Legendary.

Yup, in the Polis Demonae, legendary, I have to say The Night Mistress (TNM) and Dactyls are the worst, far far worse than Hades.

Only TNM and Dactyls come close to killing my 68 champion.

For Dactyls, if they blast you with the wave attack, sound all alarm bells. It's best to engage them immediately and kill them. In 40 or 50 legendary Hades runs, I've encountered about 10 Dactyls, and - luck or whatever - only once did one decide to blast me immediately. That was when my world turned upside down. Nearly died.

Even the Warden of Souls' wave isn't so bad.

For TNM, if you have an important buff like Heart of Oak - if she hits you immediately with spellshock you are in trouble. And worse if one of the 4 Gigantes nearby is a Dactyl.

As for Dactyl drops, I don't find them any better or worse than drops from the Warden or Vindicators. I get a fair share of Alcynoneus items, Rancors and Vengeances from all of them. Maybe I need more runs to get a better idea.

But I got 2 Hormados in 3 days.

I can handle Dactyls in Epic my game plan is to kill him immediately & don't give him an offensive chance,I just wonder why my 61 Conqueror always encounter Dactyl whenever I do Epic Hades runs in my observation about 7 meetings w/ Dactyl in the last 20 Epic runs.
