I think the Melinoes do that with their Kthonian Spikes (monster infrequent spear).
[Edit] I don't think that's right. It's an item skill, but I don't remember which item has it. [Re-Edit] Got it. It's Nagblade (Epic spear). Last edited by I_Raps : 11-03-2007 at 01:10 AM. |

Thanks for the info. I am surprized that is the first time it happened as I have seen plenty of Nagblades but never paid much attention to them other then to sell them. I would think that the effect would wear off but in my case it would not. I eventually saved and exited the game. I could have just reloaded my character but I needed to deposit a couple of items into TQVault. My character was back to normal when I restarted the game. I would say that it has a strange effect in that when it was active my damage went up but my speed dropped. My attack speed dropped about 35 percent and it also countinuously triggered Battle Rage. Hopefully just a one time event and that the next time it will wear off. Kel ****

Imagine being emasculated in real life. I think you would be pretty pissed off, hence the battle rage. Lol!

yeah that is exactly were you will find those melinoes wielding those spears... you might have noticed your energy draining too when they hit you.
its actually a good spear to use since the energy leach basically made study prey, sheild charge, batter and even colossus form all free energy wise meaning you can use them as often as you want. |

I am not sure that I want to even imagine that happening in real life [ holy ] as it hasn't happened yet. I can't afford that happening at my age and being PO'd is putting it mildly. I agree Battle Rage might be a better response but then I definitely do not want to be brought up on sexual charges as that will draw time in the brig. [ pleading fifth amendment rights ]!!!Kel ****

This d_ _n Nagblade effect of emasculate has to be bugged. I just got hit again about 15 minutes ago and the effect doesn't wear off.
I am trying to get to the third General in the Prison of Souls and the way it is going my character should be ripe for killing about 2 seconds after I attack him. I haven't had any problem with any bosses in IT but I might this time. I will be even luckier if I can avoid those meloine(?) archers that show up in packs of about six from about six different directions. [ GWarrior warned me about the archers but they were no problem until they all went on steroids. ] I would appreciate it if anyone else who had this problem would post it here. We might get it fixed by the time Diablo III comes out. I have a new mod in mind for SoulSeekor's Defiler if this proves out as a bug for more than just myself. I want to warn people that their female characters can also be emasculated in this game. I am not sure how the devs figured that one out if you take my meaning. I now refer you to Matseb2611's post just before this one. Help me if you can my toon is feeling down! Kel ****

I think the only way you can turn this to your advantage is to put on a Homados.
It might feel like cheating, but hey, it's not your fault a bug is ruining your game experience. It'll max out your attack speed to remove emasculate's debilitating effects, so you can actually kill the boss. Assuming you're level 40 and have a minimum of 525 strength, that is. |

Thanks for your reply. I have not found a Homados yet but I meet the requirements. The thing is when I killed the third general and got the five percent damage bonus it disappeared almost as quickly due to the bug. I am just finishing normal and I think the damage bonus is permanent in normal and it would come in handy. I ended up restoring my characters complete save file from a backup save file just over a day old. I got bugged a total of three times and so now I back up his save file at every new rebirth fountain. I was able to finish the three generals quest and get my bonus damage and so far I haven't had any new problems of my character being emasculated. I just hope it stays this way because Battle Rage was being neutralized by it. I also carry a Nagblade in my inventory at all times as kind of an immunization against it's effects. I have no clue as to how effective the Nagblade will be but my character hasn't been emasculated since I started carrying it. I have made two runs through the Palace and Prison of Souls without being emasculated. I would also advise against playing with a possibly bugged character as it often comes up and bites making your character unplayable. Kel ****

On a more serious note, I don't think any of my characters have been emasculated. Which difficulty are you playing? Because I haven't yet tried Hades' palace on legendary, but on normal and epic this has never happened to me.
