Noob Immortal Throne questions

I've had Titan Quest on my shelf for a couple of months and am just now getting around to playing it. I also just purchased Immortal Throne. I was wondering if I should load both before starting with Titan Quest. Does Immortal Throne add something to the regular TQ gameplay. If I load IT after loading TQ, am I starting the game at the beginning. I haven't been able to find a decent explanation of how IT interacts with TQ, if at all.

titan quest IT have improved and new effects from some spells, more items, artifacts are IT only, new charms, relics, one entire new act and more, and one new mastery. if you wish you can play on titan quest core and later import your char to titan quest IT, but i think its better playing on titan quest IT since the beggining since you already have it, so you do not miss artifacts recipes and the new items, thats my bet, anyway be free to do as you wish xD

Yes, install both, then just play Immortal Throne. It includes all the original areas upgraded with the new items and functionality.

You'll just play by launching Immortal Throne. Titan Quest will sit in the background.

In a nutshell, yes.
Eg.
Caravan
Enchanters
Artifacts

and all these are before Act 4, the IT act.

Artifacts is a key issue for someone in your position. As Drakex99 rightly points out, if you play TQ first then proceed to IT, you may find yourself missing a lot of the lower level artifacts which 1) tend to drop in lower level acts and 2) are needed as ingredients for higher level artifacts. Many regulars of TQ, when we installed IT, experienced this.

I back it up. My battlemage still cannot find himself an artifact to wear as he reached legendary act 1 before I installed IT. It's much better to start your character on IT from the beginning.

Be careful; when I wanted to install IT it said it needed upgrades and I had to keep the pc on the WHOLE night! Only in the morning could I ply IT.

it didnt happened here, i just installed and imported all my characters that took anything next to 10 minutes and started playing

Let me sneak in a question. bigmaceater here. My experience red line has
disappeared. Is there some way to get that back. I like to know when I am
close to leveling up.

try the tech corner or / and tech issues part of forum for an answer, honestly i dont know anything related to your problem, but probably someone in one of these forum parts will know how to answer your question properly.

I am guessing you must've pressed on a hot key that determines how much of HUD is shown on the screen.
