Default Thoughts on Soothsayer action

Well my soothsayer has hit legendary Greece and I'm a bit befuddled about what to do when my pets are killing. I have many +skills items so my pets are quite strong. I have Liche, 3 wolves, and nymph. I'm wearing 2 +70 dam/12% rings.

I have the option of using a maxed deathchill(DC) aura line.

I have been using DC as well as supplementing my pets with staff dam and plague but I find that when I do this I am taking aggro off them and to me. Even when they are already engaged with my pets, when I staff em the come to me and score many many crits.

I have tried turning off DC and not attacking and just using plague but this is kinda boring. I find that plague works very well but 50/50 i use it and it infects one monster that is killed too rapidly before it can spread. I do try to choose a monster thats farther away to plague to prevent this from happening. Not happy about the recharge time on this skill either

Can I get the best of both worlds? Is there a way for me to inflict direct dam without getting too much aggro?

Default Re: Thoughts on Soothsayer action

If you have enough +skill items you should be using every skill available as a Soothsayer. This is the biggest strength of the class because when all skills are active they synergize like no other class.

Deathchill and plague will give you huge damage reduction should you pull aggro. Use Regrowth if you take too much damage. You can also kite them as plague slows them down.

Regrowth + DC/UP = no potions needed ever!

Refresh means DC/UP should be up all the time which means more damage from your pets.

Soothsayers also don't need to dump huge amounts of stat points into Int/Dex/Str. Just put in enough for gear and dump the rest into life. 10k+ life is not hard to reach with heart of oak.

If you haven't yet I would put wineskin relics in your rings with added life bonuses. 12% more physical resistance and 2k+ more life will help out a lot.

You could use ternion attack, but I always found it pitiful with a +skill build equip setup. Soothsayer is all about pets IMO.
