Ya know... legendary Hades runs are fun, but...
GIGANTES DACTYL are just overpowered, damage spamming transformer wannabees that are even too BRAINLESS to apply for the role of tinman in The Wizard of Oz!!! Their mothers should be warped into space - somewhere behind the delta quadrant - and their children should be refabricated to sardine cans!!! Iron Lore should stop making my life miserable and bring out a patch where all Gigantes Dactyl are bending forward against a wall, submitting to my wrath. When entering the room the game should play that Bloodhound Gang tune "burn moddaf*kka burn" and then: Take this... take THIS and... by the way... take also THHHIIIIIISSSS!!! Moewahahahahaaaaaa!!! So... feeling better already. Gone make a cappucino now. Bye. |

My conquerer with Sapros can tank them. I find that ranged classes have more trouble with Dactyls. I do understand your pain though. I was farming Hades with my hunter and there was a dactyl just before the throne room and I died many many many times before I killed him. What ticked me off was that they would be full health again by the time i got back to them but I refused to leave the game until I killed that sucker. It was a matte rof principle you see

my hunteress has entered epic hades and after meeting a single Dactyl in normal so very unlucky i have serious misgivings on her survival if i met any at the epic level...
the general that often one-shotted me was bad enough.....

One Gigantes Dactyl pissed me off more than anything yesterday. He was guarding one of the doors with two minor Gigantes and I was just my usual self just going to slaughter them, when I didn't realise my instant death. I got puzzled for a sec and tried again. I killed the minor ones and then spotted that bastard doing those sword waves at me, each of which took about half of my health (that's about 3000 damage). Well I died about 7-8 times and tried many things, even Ancestrals, but in the end the Greater Scroll of Elemental Shielding saved me as it made each of those waves take only a third of my life. It felt good to kick his *** in the end.

recipe for failure = low stun resistance below 100, less than 5k health (assuming legendary) bad gear, low dps, 700 or lower OA, 700 or lower DA, to beat him you need at least 100+ stun res, smart management of life, basic clicking skills, common sense, pots 700+DA 700 +OA, 5k+ health without those basic stuff you cant survive and you will get one shotted.
