Best Farming Class?

I stopped playing TQ a few months ago, a while after patch 1.20 was released. A few months later I deleted all my chars because I thought I would never play it again and they were taking up space. So now I am playing again, and having a hard time because I'm lacking all those nice early game items. Also late game items, but I'm not even there yet. Which means I have to farm ahead of the more gear reliant chars a bit.

Which means I need a char that is easy and fast to play, can kill bosses quickly, and is not too reliant on gear. Mostly it just has to get through the game fast I guess. So what I'm looking for is kinda like the old Oracles, except not quite as overpowered and boring. I guess getting something as powerful as an old Oracle is not even possible with the current patches.

Any suggestions?

a bow using character is what u r looking for.

i would say brigand or haruspex.

take hunting first and go go go for markmans ship line and volley.

Do Scatter Shot Arrows work properly now?

Also, what would the Dream tree give to a Bow user? And does Phantom Strike work at range?

dream only give lucid dream tree ,a trance and distort really for a bow user but if u wanna go spear... a spear haruspex is a solid choice for farming.

phantom strike don t work with bows.

i would say go brigand for pure bow but take haruspex if u want to play with both spear and bows.

spears brigand are too weak and they don t have any (without trap) aoe attack.

scatter shot is great IMO but ,for legendary , it requires +4 to all skills and a solid attack speed(160-170pc without call of the hunt.) get it on priority.

Hmm, both classes look pretty good for a bow user. Poison + Bow is always nice. On the other hand, having an AOE skill would be nice. The stats of the Brigand seem a lot better though. Lots of dex.

I guess I will keep playing my Templar for a while longer (probably through normal) to check out how good Distort really is.

A Spellbreaker with Liche and Outsider and Deathchill Aura can take out bosses really fast. REALLY fast. He's not the easiest character to play with if you do not have the equipment. But he can take out bosses with no specific equipment, just those skills.

Any bow classes are good, Haruspex, Ranger, Brigand and Slayer. Puncture shot is one of the best AOE skills there is.

Well, my current main concern is not taking out bosses fast, but getting through the game fast. Can a Spellbreaker do that without good equipment?

Bow users = Kiting = taking your time

I find one of the best classes is still the Warden,
I personally love my Warden and Haruspex the best. Both classes allow to to take tons of hits and little damage (one with defense mastery the other with crazy dodge.) You can kill who you want and run through the others. Use a spear and tear it up. My fastest, strongest, deadliest characters are those two. Bows take too long. take the punch on the chin.

i never had to practise kitting with my bows characters.things are dying faster than a dual wielding character...

I don't quite understand where so many people keep saying bow brigands and haruspex characters kill slow, much less slower than their spear counter parts.

I've tried respecing a few times with my brigand and haruspex, and everytime I come to the same reality. Bow kills much faster on trash, and equally fast if not faster on bosses with far less risk (you don't have to be in hade's face where he can dish massive melee attacks for example).
