TQ Defiler problem

Help Soul!!! Been using Defiler for months with no problem with Vista (User account control is off which is how I got it to work correctly). I close of of TQ IT and launch Defiler to backup my character.

When I do this it takes like two minutes to come up and when it does it's basically non-functional (won't load chracters, etc.). I tried this several times, including rebooting my PC to no avail.

Finally, I uninstalled Defiler, d/l the full package again and reinstalled, then added the latest updated .EXE and I still get exactly the same results.

Any ideas what happened?

Sounds like it maybe didn't have admin privileges once and lost the settings it had for where the characters are saved and the game directory, try checking under the 'Settings...' menu to make sure the paths are still correct.

It keeps saying my detected Game version is 1.10 and then tells me I have to make backups of game files. Then the next time I load it, it says my version is 1.30 and I have to make backups??

In the File Paths, should it be pointing to the TQ folders or the TQ IT folders (I've been playing TQ IT exclusively from the beginning)?

Also, my characters are listed twice, once with [Main Quest] and once with [Main IT Quest].

I'm so puzzled, the program always worked just fine and I haven't changed anything.

That's all correct...TQ and IT are separate games, in separate folders with separate characters. 1.10 is the IT version, and 1.30 is the TQ version. The TQ tab should be pointing to the TQ folders, and the IT tab and directories should point to the IT folders...and your characters are self-explanatory, now that I think of it I'll make an option for the next version to NOT show TQ characters, that way you don't have so many listed, something I should have thought of before I guess.

As I probebarly need to turn it off to get Defiler too work correctly.
