The oar you have to give to the shades by the boat in The River Styx...The Stones take to the Plains of Judgement and complete the Hades Treasury quest. Oh, and by the way: USE THE SEARCH BUTTON!!

Okay, after using the search button, I am still having a hard time figuring the oar out. I have it in my inventory, and obviously charon has been killed, but it won't let me return the oar to the people at styx...any ideas?

With the oar, I'm in the same boat (pardon the pun). I've gone through all of legendary (and as such have collected three oars) and have yet found where they belong. I'm still looking, though.

He goes back where he came from in the first place (I'm pretty sure it tells you where in the Quest log). Of course, if you haven't freed him before you got the oar, he could have some trouble going back. ![]() |

You give it to Admetus, just before Charon. BUT if you reach the place where you later rescue Admetus from a cage, then the Admetus earlier in act 4 disappears so you cant complete the side quest. Similiarly in act 1, leonidas disappears from the spartan camp to appear outside athens, and if you forget to talk to him after killing nessus, you cant complete that part of the main quest

No, the guy's name is Hipparchus. He's in a cage between the Styx landing (where the portal is) and Charon's bridge. When you free him and get the Oar, he reappears back at the landing.
I don't know what happens if you get the oar before you've freed him. Here's the walkthrough if you're desperate: Titan Quest @ GameBanshee |
