Beat Epic Hades for the first time!

So I've finally unlocked Legendary mode, defeating Epic Hades for the first time with my level 53 Ranger. And all he dropped was yellows. Not even so much as a green item.

So disappointing. I actually made out better from Hades Treasury which gave me some Legendary armor. It would be nice though if you could somehow be guaranteed at least one nice item the first time you defeat him. I realize you couldn't do that every time, since people farm the bosses, but still... give me some reward for that hard work!

Ah well, off to Legendary Greece... I hear legendary items drop more frequently in legendary difficulty.

You could just reload epic and make that final run and kill Hades' again. If you do it a few times, I'm sure you'll find something.

Oh, I know that, I farmed Hades a few times on normal, it's just disappointing to not get anything nifty the first time you defeat him on a new difficulty level.

ugh, the first 3 times i killed Hades he dropped all yellows


luckily, he dropped the overlord on time #2

One of my characters killed Hades for the first time on epic yesterday. He dropped me the Overlord, which was a real big surprise, and Crimson Viper, a formula I've been looking for for ages. So, me happy, despite no purples. (Subsequent runs did give me a few purples, and some cool MIs along the way).

Indeed they do. Here are a few things I got from some Medusa runs in legendary :

Bow of Herakles
Borealis
Painweaver
Thorny Maul
Soulharvest
Ring of Gaia
Eye of Horus

and a pair of legendary Stonebinders Cuff with +34% attack speed

And a few things from Talo's Majestic chest:

Helios' Fury
Zeno's Third Paradox
Achilles Shield
Dionysus' Jerkin
Odysseus' Armor
Ares' War Helm

I also got only yellows when I beat Hades on epic. I'm almost through Act I in legendary now and have gotten only 2 or 3 purples, none set items despite numerous loads. I kinda ran through epic and didn't complete about 6 or 7 side quests. Could not completing all side quests in epic reduce my chances of good drops in legendary?

By the way, I'm playing a level 56 Conjurer, and I've gotten 10 or 12 purple melee weapons and only one purple staff. I've never gotten a blue staff.

I'm still in epic, but so far we've found three Phorkos' Tridents, 2 Torment axes, and a couple other swords or spears I'm forgetting. Not one staff. I'm playing a Druid and she's getting really peeved by the whole situation. My partner's Warden is a pretty happy camper, though.

All through normal, I only found one blue staff.
