Expansion Hard for Druid

I have a level 39 Druid and cannot possibly kill the Warden. Ugh.

Part of the problem may be that I have played the entire expansion without once finding a single weapon/armor/anything that would upgrade my character. I was a level 31 when I finished the main game and my entire character is still wearing and using all the exact same items.

Has this happened to anyone else?

(I am thorough and have played every inch of the map to this point. No items worth keeping.)

Every inch? what about Hades Tresury? skip the warden and finish this quest for a chance at some items. As far as I can tell, this game requires some farming, go back and farm Typhon and/or the act 3 telkine. I've never been a druid so specific advise is missing but it seems like you ability to deal damage will be kind of limited in normal so you may want to think about using a scroll. If you tell us a little more about your build then someone around here will give you some better advice.

The warden of souls is really close to the final boss Hades. Keep trying, buy a scroll that drains his energy might help. Once you defeat Hades you can start Epic difficulty. The first 2 acts on Epic are really easy and will give you loads of xp. With a bit of luck you will find your first legendary items aswell to give your character a huge boost.

About the hades treasury quest, it requires the soul stone which drops from a boss after the Warden so he can't complete it yet. I have never gotten anything good from those chests anyway

I would just farm Typhon until you have all blue gear or some really good greens with cool relics slotted. You should probably also take the time to get a halfway decent artifact built. You'll get a ton of recipes from farming typhon.

This is even my plan for my first time through epic. I farmed the gorgons for awhile until I got a good purple weapon, and then once I get to typhon I'll farm him until I have all purple gear.

I like the idea above too, just use scrolls and maybe respec to something that will let you get past him and hades and get into epic and then farm the gorgons since they will drop much better stuff than normal hades.

I'm a druid and recently had a lot of trouble with him too. Beat him at level 41. His health regen was too fast for run and shoot so i found it easiest to just let him hack me whilst i fired my normal attack at him and lightning bolted whenever it recharged. Took him down fairly quickly

I just killed him as a druid at 40 for the first time. Took a few tries. I had to kite him to the end of his range and then run a bit to heal and then run back to make sure he came back towards me. Took a bit of messing around but it worked. He's about as hard as hades, so beat him and you're good to go for the end.

I have found act IV to be very hard for casters, because most enemies are fast meleer's who are quickly in your skin or archers with huge pierce damage.
