Hummm....IMO an INT staffer could yield the most DPS, but will it be the most suited for survival...otherwise STR would be my second choice to get good armor and heavy weapons and DEX as a last resort cause even with around 1000 dex (of course DA and OA wouldn't be bad) you won't get the protection you need from armor.....

I doubt it could be Strength. It really doesn't matter how big of a weapon you find if you're not able to hit anything. Even with the best items boosting you're Offensive Ability, I suspect you won't hit much of anything in Epic. It would probably be tough going well before that.
With an Int required staff or Dex required bow, you can completely circumvent the whole Offensive Ability mechanic. Unfortunately, bows also have a Str requirement, although I suppose it might be possible to make that up with items. So, that pretty much leaves Int. Staves only have the single attribute requirement, and you could carry around a couple different ones with varying damage types. This would allow you to select the one best suited for what you are currently fighting. |

Why don't we find out?
Each of us pick an attribute and start a character. See how far we get. I guess we are talking attribute ONLY. No masteries allowed, right? We could even start a thread each in the Gameplay section to narrate our journeys.
