Oopsies. wasn't very clear on Charon
General Tips Just like in vanilla TQ. Stock up on resistances if you're really finding it hard, it helps over a pretty DPS figure. Don't forget the potions, too. Come on, you have 50 million gold for a reason besides artifacts. The Gray Sisters There's 3 of them. And they hit hard. Each base attack from them does 4,000 damage with 0 vitality resistance. They also can cast a 'red storm' in your area which does 6,000 damage per second, so please for the love of god don't stay under it. They also cast thunderclaps which deal about as much damage as the red storm. Their only weakness is that they are very weak; probably around 50,000HP each. Unless you have pets to distract the other 2, you need to stack up on alot of vitality resistance and potions. You can also lure them with range, just like how you would fight the Gorgons. Being range also makes it easier to dodge their attacks. They will also pause before casting the redstorm, giving you time to get out of the area. Don't know about this, but it might work: Quote:
Charon First off, do not stand on the places where the bridge has gaps in it. He will call the river to rise below you and kill you instantly. Other than that, he throws water blobs at you for 2,000 damage each (@ 0 [cold I think] resist) and can also summon 2 shades to help him fight. After you kill him the first time, he transforms and flies up. He gets a special move where he power-smacks you with his oar and does 4,000+ damage each as well as interrupt you for 1 second. This move is AoE so it's best to run away from him. Don't worry, it's very slow. Charon also casts a wall of water at you that deals 3,000+ frost damage. He only does this at range. Just run up to him and keep hitting him, stay clear from the gaps in the bridge. Use potions to heal away the water blobs. When he transforms, watch out when he raises his oar; he's about to power smack you and it may hurt, so run away (not around, as it's AoE). Cerebus Poison based fight. Simple, yet hard. First of all, don't stand near or on the cracks in the room. He'll launch poisons from there and kill you. Cerebus has 2 moves; a poison breath which does 6,000+ damage over time, but can be healed off with a divine potion, and launches blobs of poisons at you for 4,000 each. What I suggest you do is stock up on poison resist as it is entirely a poison fight. Fight him in the entrance as then you don't have to worry about the poisons in the cracks of the floor. Cerebus will stand on his hind legs everytime he commands the poison to rise up. Last edited by sadhukar : 03-15-2007 at 01:18 PM. |

I can think of the Gray Ones that are tough to beat sisnce there's 3 of them in a confined space. Their most damaging attack since to be the red nova-like one. I was able to defeat them after I learnt to stay away from those.
Then there's Charon(?), when you have to stay away from the water jets, which is pretty hard to do since there's a lot of them and they are translucent making it even harder to see exactly where you should not be standing. Cold resistance could help here, I guess. There are also those rock he keeps throwing at you, but once you where they're coming from, you have all the time in the world to sidestep. |

I found a way to defeat Cerberus in Legendary Mode. It stands in a room, and you have to get there through a small passage.
Well, after I entered the room, the ground started to crash and emanate poison. Kill me instantly. I tried this method few times, tried to lure him with my lich king. Nothing work. After the earth crushing, that poison gave me zero chance of survival, even with my good equipment. Then I found the solution. I entered that passage and stop just before the entrance where Cerberus stands. I used my staff and attract Cerberus out of the room. Then got few steps back and switch to my Mace and kill him easily. I put also an Scroll to increase my power and "That`s all folks!". Hope this tactic it will be usefull to anyone.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the gray sister holding the eye becomes a lot stronger than the other 2, so leave one on very low health, kill the other, then when the one on low health has it, kill the other, and finally the low one, which should be much easier to kill now.
hope that helps ![]() regards, pilch |

Even though not listed as a hard boss there is an overly simple way to defeat hades if you have dream mastery. Put one sp in Nightmare and summon it, tell it to attack hades. Have hades attack it. Somehow he can't damage it, I have no idea why but he just won't. He "tanked" the entire Legendary Hades for me without getting hit once. What the hell is up with that?
